My fave place in town and the one I go to the most when we want to eat out. They have a gluten free list and will change gloves if you tell them you have a gluten allergy. Food is great and service is quick.
Chips are fried in their own oil, most everything is gluten free except the flour tortillas, rice, and shredded chicken cooked in beer. I still make sure every time I order that they are aware of my needs and that nothing has changed.
I get the kids nachos with grilled chicken. It’s so much good and so good

I had zero issues at this location. The manager made sure the staff changed their gloves to prepare our meal. When he brought out our food he reassured us by letting us know gloves were changed to prevent cross contamination.
Taco Mama Gulf Breeze provides the same delicious food and gluten free options as the other locations in Alabama. They have a dedicated chip and corn taco shell fryer, so chips and hard shell tacos are safe, as well as all of their salsas, most meats, and toppings. Their shredded chicken is marinated in beer, so that it not safe.
They have corn tortillas! The cashier told me all of the meat options except the chicken are gluten-free (sounded like the chicken may be beer-battered). When I told him I have a gluten allergy, he told me he’d take care of everything for me and wrote a note in my order so the cooks would take proper procedures for my food! Great experience. Got barbacoa tacos and they were great.
Taco Mama is my wife's favorite comfort food place in Birmingham. As for me, I'm glad they have gluten free options. Gluten containing items are on a list at the register where you order, and the staff is well aware of that. I've been in there several times, and each time the staff and manager were helpful in making sure I ordered a safe option. I have suffered no ill effects eating there.
The first time I went it was great, but the last 2 times I have gotten sick.
