Both my sister and I are Celiacs and we both had a mild reaction after eating their bread. There might be a small amount of Gluten in the kitchen. We had to throw away all the bread and the toaster!

Visited this morning since I was in the area; I generally haven’t loved the products in the past and unfortunately today was similar. The bread is not very flavorful and falls apart very easily. Moreover, the space itself is quite dirty. I don’t have a lot of confidence in the food safety side of things. Shelve items too were covered in a thick layer of dust. I won’t be going back unless I hear things have changed.

Don’t waste your time Waited for store to open at 10 AM. It looked dirty but I went in anyway . Only had 2 types of fresh bagels And by fresh, I mean not frozen, but clearly not made today. Small freezer with a few items. I was told that I should order a few days in advance. I will not ever order from this place.

I am REALLY hoping I’m going to be able to add a star to this rating bc I’m really excited to have this in South Philly. I walked in last weekend and was disappointed from the selection. There was nothing fresh out for grabs, everything was in their mini fridge. I bought everything bagels (VERY expensive) which were terrible. I ate 1.5 of them and threw out the rest, BUT I also bought a baguette and soft pretzels. The baguette I threw in the freezer and just defrosted today to make crostini and dunk in olive oil...omg...I missed baguettes so freakin much, it was amazing! The soft pretzels are still in the freezer. I plan to go back & try some more things 🤞🏻

Updated - came back a few months later & the entire inside reeked of pot which ya know is an issue if they happened to be inspected. Will not be returning.

They were sold out of most of their sweets by the time I got there (afternoon), so I bought a frozen loaf of sourdough and a pretzel. The pretzel was dry -- might be better heated and buttered. But I took the sourdough home and toasted it -- OUT OF THIS WORLD. Highly recommend. Doesn't taste at all GF :)

Brought the soft pretzels that tasted like a horrible stale bread with salt on it. I threw it out. Absolutely disgusting! I also brought a red velet cupcake. The cupcakes does not have the traditional cream cheese icing, it's more like a cool whip icing. The cupcake it's self was very dry. I threw that out as well. Such a disappointment as I drove from Bensalem, PA to try this bakery. I will not return.

Can’t give this place enough stars! I’ve been going for five years and it’s just a gem to have found. Their baguettes and brownies are my favorite things. Don’t sleep on the bagels, they’re great too. They have SOFT PRETZELS! Where else are you going to find those?! Sometimes in the summer they even have freshly squeezed lemonade. Amazing!

Not very many options and even fewer fresh things to choose from. It was pretty out of the way and in sort of a market neighborhood. The area is a little beat up but I didn’t feel unsafe. They mostly only had bread and a couple of frozen or cooled sweets. To be fair, the soft pretzel I had was very good. Wish they had more.

Ok, Taffet’s aint cheap... but you can’t help falling in love with their baked goods. The facility is 100% gluten free, made by the owner who is often right there in the store. And such a great guy!

He makes amazing cookies, breads, biscotti, cupcakes, doughnuts, bagels, rolls, the list is as long as your arm and always something new.

Get there early, they do sell out fast.

While they do offer safe foods for those with gluten intolerances, I was rather disappointed with the options... When I went, they only had some cookies and bread along with other gf shelf items you can get at your local market. Didn't look good either so I didn't get anything.

Unbelievable sub rolls. We had a cheesesteak at Sonny’s with your rolls and I’m telling you it was the best thing I’ve ever had Gluten free. My daughter has celiac. There were no issues. We loved them!!! Do you ship to MA?

The staff was very friendly and helpful in making my selections. Dedicated gluten free bakery. The most delicious “real” bread I’ve had that’s gluten free. The Teff multigrain loaf, sourdough boule, French baguette and soft pretzels were amazing and freeze well!!! It’s worth the drive and they also ship. I’ll definitely be a back for more.

They ran out of soft pretzels by the time I'd arrived, but they sold me a pack of frozen ones that I was able to toast on our vacation. They. Were. Amazing. My husband who is from Philly agreed that they were legit. Additionally, we wound up at Paesano's near Fishtown for GF cheesesteaks with bread provided by Taffet's. Beyond legit. Note - this location is Celiac friendly. Not sure about Paesano's.

Unfortunately, the shop was still closed almost a hour after it was supposed to open. There was a baker that came out and said his manager should be arriving to open to the public, but after walking around and returning in about 1/2 an hour the manager/owner was still not there (maybe too much 4th of July partying the night before). We left empty handed. We were in the area so it wasn't as bad as if we made the trip just for this bakery, but it was quite disappointing since many GF places were closed for the holiday. Moral of the story, I find especially true in Philly, always call and confirm the establishment is open.

This place is amazing. The owner's mother has celiac. There isn't a spec of gluten in the bakery! The breads are fresh, light, airy and delicious. I cannot overstate the pleasure of going there just after opening time, picking up sourdough or a baguette, warm from the oven, walking home and eating it with Irish butter and French raspberry jam! Heavenly!

This place is a DREAM COME TRUE. I've been coming here since they first opened a couple of years ago. This bread is freshly baked and it does not taste like the gf bread you will be used to - it's so good that it rivals the gluteny bread I used to get when I lived in France. The owners are so nice and pleasant. The quinoa bread is my favorite, but the kaiser rolls and baguettes are delicious too. Omer needs to make the donut holes on a regular basis, though, instead of just on special occasions - I think those things were so good that they made my year. You forget you are gluten free when eating stuff from this bakery...
