If you have a bad experience, please let someone know! :-)
Our experience was bad but I am hopeful. Hostess was surly. Staff seemed uninformed. Manager said that they sometimes fry GF foods with floury foods. However I contacted the NFCA and CC'ed TaMolly's. I received a personal email from Bob Strate in which he vowed to correct the problem (which may not have been actual failure of kitchen protocol but the manager's ignorance of it) and I know that NFCA is following up with them. I got emails from two folks at the NFCA and a personal phone call from one of them. I have renewed faith in GREAT Kitchens.
I'm willing to believe that our experience was just a bump in the road and look forward to giving them another try.
The chips are all we ate (based on a server's assurance; FWIW, they tasted good and were light and crunchy. What we learned from the manager led us to believe that they were likely cross-contaminated. One of the things that Bob assured us is that two out of their five fryers are dedicated gluten-free and 20 feet from the others.
My 3-star rating reflects hope more than the actual experience and balances our initial, substantial disappointment with impressive response from corporate. Time will tell.
