Cute place with a nice area to sit outside and watch the people walking by. The hike up to the castle starts just above the restaurant, so we fueled up before walking all the way up. The menu clearly marks what contains gluten. The food is nicely presented and tasted great.

Unfortunately, this place no longer seems to be appropriate for celiac. I showed a celiac travel card and the server called over the manager who said there was nothing they could serve me. GF was well marked on the menu, they just would not do it with the cross contact precaution on the card. We got the sense they might have tried if we had a bigger order, but we were just there for a small afternoon snack.

Excellent GF options. Really helpful staff who went above and beyond to double check menu after we ordered.
Highly recommended

Service was great, well organized. The menu had labelled all gluten free options. The food was so tasty and healthy. There was a wait since we went in July. You get the menu and use the pencil to mark the items you want - different concept. Staff speaks English

WARNING - speak to someone who speaks good English. Don’t just trust the menu labels.
Most staff do not speak English well enough to understand the words used to discuss celiac disease and cross-contamination. I used Deepl to translate a message into Portuguese - that was enough for our waiter to get someone who spoke better English to come to our table.
That man was very knowledgeable about their menu and celiac disease. He told me one item on their menu labeled gluten free was actually with gluten the way they now prepared it!
I ordered from among the items he said were actually safe, and I was OK. My food was good when it arrived, and the family liked theirs too.
Just don’t trust the menu.

Beautiful restaurant - people were queuing before it opened! Menu lists all items containing gluten with a wheat sign. Quite a few GF options but no GF beer. Great food in a lovely location

I had a great time at this restaurant! They had an English menu and all the gf items were clearly labeled. I told them I was celiac and they understood instantly. They brought out gluten bread for my family on a different plate and told me everything else was gluten free.

Gluten free items are clearly marked on the menu. The location and service were great. The tapas we tried were all excellent: garlic shrimp, seafood salad, olives, and ribs. They have outdoor dining, but it was closed due to rain earlier.

Great tapas restaurant with a lot of gluten free options. Nice decoration with a good ambiance. You have to look for it and hike a bit but it’s totally worth it. It’s also family-friendly.
