WARNING - speak to someone who speaks good English. Don’t just trust the menu labels.
Most staff do not speak English well enough to understand the words used to discuss celiac disease and cross-contamination. I used Deepl to translate a message into Portuguese - that was enough for our waiter to get someone who spoke better English to come to our table.
That man was very knowledgeable about their menu and celiac disease. He told me one item on their menu labeled gluten free was actually with gluten the way they now prepared it!
I ordered from among the items he said were actually safe, and I was OK. My food was good when it arrived, and the family liked theirs too.
Just don’t trust the menu.
