Got takeout. Was nice to see a lot of items listed as gluten free on the menu, including ones that wouldn’t normally be. We got the Mediterranean chicken sandwich and fish and chips. We requested both to be made gluten free and dairy free, and this was noted on the bag when we picked up the food.
We both tried the fried breaded fish and agreed it was really good. My friend can have dairy and we did request they send the tartar sauce. The chicken sandwich was alright but didn’t have a lot of flavor. The fries and sweet potato fries were good but pretty typical/average for restaurant fries.
They said they put an “allergy alert” for no gluten and no dairy for both of the items and I emphasized that I had celiac disease but I didn’t have a thorough conversation with the person taking the order about what precautions they take. Based on the other reviews here I’m more excited to eat at and support establishments with 100% positive reviews since at least a couple people who wrote reviews for this place have gotten sick over the years, but it was close by and I decided to try it for one time. I don’t get symptoms if I’m exposed to gluten so I can’t report on how well they did that way.
I gave 4 stars because I can’t guarantee how gf it is, my sandwich wasn’t that tasty, and also because with the indoor dining we saw when we picked up our food they had some folks sitting at booths right next to eachother (instead of with an empty booth in between), which doesn’t seem safe. They did have little plexiglass barriers between the booths but they don’t go up that high and air can obviously transfer between tables.
