I have eaten here several times. The perch is very good usually, tonight it wasn’t quite as good. The salad came with croutons! 😳 I almost took a bite and then noticed it. So I just told her never mind. The gluten free dessert is excellent and their ice cream is gluten free. It really does matter what waitress and cook you get.

Excellent food, outstanding wait staff. They have a strong understanding of how not to cross contaminate. Many items on the menu are marked as being available as a gluten free option. They use gluten free flour (rice?) if a recipe calls for it, and the prep area is separate from all else, including the baking area, which is in a completely different room. They offer gluten free dinner rolls. Sadly, french fries there are not gf.

Try the walleye! It is outstanding, and I am hard to please when it comes to fish. As always, the perch is amazing. They are known for it.

There is a flourless chocolate cake available for dessert, and it is probably the best I've had.

Be sure to tell the server that you have a true gluten intolerance and need special care. My server even told me she washed her hands between serving everyone else and me.

Went here many times before I was diagnosed, always a family favorite. Their perch is delicious. We tried it again today to find the gluten free items on their menu marked and quite a few options, including other fish and chicken dishes. I had the perch again for the first time in seven years and it was very good. (I had kind of built it up in my head to be like the best thing ever, and while it definitely was good it wasn't as good as I had remembered). It was served with several sides to choose from, all gluten free as well, and they had gluten free bread. Overall, we will definitely be back, but I might try one of their other delicious-sounding options instead. :)

When I first inquired about having a gluten free meal here, the owner was very helpful! Now when I dine in, I inform my server of my special diet and they are aware of gluten free options available. I have had the perch sautéed in olive oil and corn starch twice and it was very good! I also was given Udi's gluten free rolls when asked if they offer rolls for people with gluten free needs.

Very good food! They make so many meals gluten free. Having Celiac Disease, I am skeptical about eating out, but every time I order my meal here, gluten free, I never have any issues after! I've been to too many places where I can immediately tell I've eaten gluten, or been exposed by cross contamination. Teibels is careful and precise and my meal is ALWAYS fantastic!
