If a steak and potato is what you want this is definitely the place to go. Our server was very careful to make my order as I requested, and she told me they do have a dedicated process to avoid gluten contamination. I would look at the website version of the 'gluten friendly' menu first, as it has a few more details than the print out. Basically it is best to expect to leave off any seasoning that isn't salt and pepper. It is difficult to get servers who are knowledgable about gluten/xanthan gum issues, but our server was patient enough to go over each item on my order to make sure that it was okay for me to eat, and that meant a lot. My steak, potato, and fresh veggies were all cooked to perfection. I am only intolerant, not celiac/allergic, but I am willing to bet this place will work out for others. Just expect it to be SUPER busy on Fridays!

Went to the restaurant in Northfield Mall in Colorado. The wait staff took great care to make sure that the food was prepared for me and my cousin, both gluten free.

I have had good experiences at other Texas Roadhouse locations, but this one is the worst. The food mostly tastes fine--what there is of it. The "Gluten Free Menu" is a xerox copy of some items on the menu that should be gluten free, but it actually forgets to list key ingredients such as salad dressings for the salads and seasonings for the meats. My server had no clue what she was doing. She refused to ask them to put salt and pepper on my steak because she was afraid they would accidentally gluten me, but brought me a salad with croutons on it. Then she couldn't figure out why I couldn't eat them and required a somewhat lengthy conversation to send it back. When she returned, she announced that the kitchen had told her that the ranch had gluten in it--the ranch that was sitting in a cup on top of my salad. I've been to this location a couple of times, but I'm finished trying to make it work. Don't go here if you want to have a pleasant and safe meal.

This was probably the best GF meal I’ve ever had at a restaurant! I asked for GF menu, our waitress had one with her. I ordered the Steak Kabob with no rice. Mashed potatoes with no gravy and a side salad with oil and vinegar no croutons. They brought out the salad with a small container of oil and another small container of red wine vinegar so I could add as much or as little as I wanted. I really appreciate that! Then the Kabobs and mashed potatoes came out… absolutely fabulous! I was so shocked. Will be adding Texas Roadhouse to my favorites list ❤

Texas Roadhouse is usually a good chain for gluten free. This was not my vest experience with them. I ordered my food with allergy prep. When my steak come out, it had a stray piece of a not-gluten-free topping mixed in, which was highly concerning. They remade my steak and the manager brought it out. Granted, it was extremely busy and I was with a large party. In the end, I did not get sick. This is probably a decent stop for GF, especially considering there didn't seem to be much else in the area. This was an obligatory dinner stop on a road trip.

I ordered pick up from the gluten free menu. Steak, baked potato, and steamed broccoli. No extras since I was picking up and could add my own toppings at home. Everything was delicious and I did not have any reactions.

Very few options that would be safe. Their seasoning is not gluten free and they put it on EVERYTHING! My Celiac daughter wanted corn, couldn’t have it….baked potato? Nope, they cover the outside with bacon grease and seasoning. After a lot of discussion we ended up with a steak with no seasoning and a side of broccoli.

Yes, this is a chain, and has been safe go-to if available during our roadtrips. This location is near our home-base. They do have GF options on their website. My husband likes it there bc there are more GF options to choose from for sides. So far no reactions (knock on wood). Aside from most of the steak options, the ribs (bbq sauce or rub) have been alright for him.

Perks for me: the warm rolls with cinnamon butter, not to rub it in :)
