The Bistro

I’m celiac and quite sensitive. I’ve eaten at Bistro twice this week with no reaction. Delicious options and very knowledgeable servers. I highly recommend!

Went here for breakfast. When I walked in I asked the barista/bartender (which is basically the front counter when you walk in) if they have gluten free offerings. She looked at me like I was from Mars, picked up a menu, looked it over and said “oh, yah, see it’s marked”. So when the server came to take our order I asked if the omelette which was marked gf needed to have any modifications and he paused and then went and checked with the kitchen. He returned and said yes, it’s gf. So I ordered it and he asked what kind of toast I would like. Seriously, nobody in this building knew anything and I would not return ever. Thankfully, I didn’t get sick but I only ate the omelette and didn’t touch the potatoes as they were clearly seasoned.

How would you rate the taste and quality of the gluten-free food you tried?

— Good

I went here for dinner and had a salad and the “steak frites.” The steak frites are marked as GF on the menu but the fries are actually fried in a shared fryer, so I had to swap for mashed potatoes. The food was excellent, and our sever was super knowledgeable, but I’m giving four stars because I find it disappointing when restaurants label contaminated stuff as GF.

Had wonderful meals here, never felt the slightest hint of cross contamination and always left feeling great. All staff seemed very educated about GF v safe for celiac. Of all the meals we ate here, the pork chop was the dish we would most recommend.

Amazingly great fine dining dinner experience! Waitstaff was very careful and knowledgeable—double checked with Kitchen when he was not sure, double-checking fryer/fries for cross contamination for example. We were very confident about the food not being “glutened.” Delicious watercress salad and bison tenderloin with broccolini and mashed potatoes. Wild huckleberry sauce accompanying the tenderloin. Delightful meal. We will definitely return.
