This is an amazing place!! Food and service are exceptional! We arrived with party of 4 and waited 45 minutes as this is a popular place. The wait was comfortable and well worth it. My wife has a gluten allergy and they are very accommodating and knowledgeable. Gluten Free items are identified on the menu. Our server, Anne, was fantastic! She always had a smile and was very helpful!! The meal was well timed with drinks, salad, rolls, main entre'. The other help was also exceptional as dishes were removed promptly. They offer a military discount also. In these times of shortages, they are very flexible. We had the Braised Ribs, Chicken Madeira, Chicken Parmesan, and Flat Iron Steak. All were exceptional. We will be back

I was so pleased with our experience with The Boathouse. We called ahead after finding it here on FMGF, and when the person who answered the phone realized she couldn't answer our questions, she passed the phone on to a manager who explained the cross contamination protocols thoroughly. She knew to tell me that the fryer was not dedicated GF and that there is a separate prep area. She answered all of our questions patiently and I told her we'd see her that night. When we arrived, the entire kitchen and wait staff had already been informed of our arrival and cross contamination protocols reviewed. AND, she called the next day to check in that everything had been handled to our satisfaction.
We were a party of 12 ranging in ages from 6 - 68. Everyone found something that made them happy on this diverse menu. My Celiac son had a burger in a GF bun and potato chips. The Celiac safe options were not plentiful, but definitely manageable. And while we didn't try it, I suspect the chef would be able to alter some menu items to make them GF.

They have recently changed ownership and have a lot fewer gluten free accommodations.
I called in inquire as to their gluten free selections. They’ve recently changed ownership, and have removed the majority of their gluten free selections. They do still have gluten free bread, and a salmon salad.

Waitress was very knowledgeable. I ate a Ruben on GF bread (delicious!!) and a salad with the best house dressing. My husband tasted a bite and was impressed with the bread flavor too.

The Boathouse takes gluten free very seriously. One of the main chefs has Celiac, so you’re in good hands.
Quality is wonderful. They bring out gluten free rolls with the regular bread. Many options can be modified to be gluten free.
We eat here religiously once a week and have only been cross contaminated a couple times.

Our server was amazing. He knew exactly what was safe for my son to eat. He even knew the ingredients in sauces and dressings!! The kids menu is not GF, but there were plenty of options on the main menu. He loved his flat iron steak!!! We will definitely be back there.
