Phenomenal sandwich shop for us Celiacs but it looks like the pandemic took another victim. Walked by yesterday and it’s closed with items being packed up. Hopefully it’s moving but I don’t know.

They had a 'GF rye type' bread, so, I had to have a Rueben. Never thought I would have a Reuben ever again.

The staff was able to offer almost all sandwiches as GF. I also got their famous bean salad. Delicious!

This is a great gluten free find in Huntington. My daughter goes to Marshall and I was a bit worried how many GF options there would be in this tiny town. I found plenty but The Bodega is now one of my favorites. (My gluten eating friends like it too!) The atmosphere is funky casual and their sandwiches are both creative and delicious. Owner and staff all super nice too.

Aside from dreaming about the sandwiches a couple weeks before a visit, Friday nights they have Yappy Hour - you can bring your dog! And they have special dishes made just for them!! That's as cool as it gets.

Love The Bodega

The staff was very friendly, engaging and knowledgeable about gluten free options. They were so willing to make sure everything was perfect and the food was perfection. I had the Portobello, spinach, tomato and onion sandwich with grilled chicken added and they put it on Gluten Free bread rather than the Hawaiian roll it is normally served with. The side option ms were 3 bean salad or chips and they were quick to let me know the chips had seasoning that might not be gluten free. I declined either and she suggested their gluten free pasta salad which was awesome! The variety of ciders was great and I chose the Pineapple Cider to compliment my meal. Such a wonderful dining experience. My new “go to” place when I am in Huntington!

I am very sensitive, it's not a fad. Struggling to find food in Huntington, I have celiac disease. Went there last night, I was pleasantly surprised by availability of gluten free bread. I had the beef sandwich with broth or whatever on side with bean salad. Incredible, hot sandwich, great flavor, bean salad awesome. Only downside? Kitchen guy outside the window smoking. Nothing more disgusting than seeing food prep people smoking, just nauseating. But, food was good despite that.

Probably the best place to grab a lunch in Huntington, WV. The Buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwich with ghost pepper cheese is a must eat. My wife was even able to get a stellar sandwich gluten free, the chicken salad sandwich on gluten free bread. staff was knowledgeable and accommodating to a gluten allergy which is very difficult to find in Huntington, WV. so if you are in downtown Huntington, be sure to stop by Bodega, enjoy an awesome sandwich and a craft brew. My wife has been able to eat here on multiple occasions without a reaction.
