I am over the moon for The Cabin!

Having recently been diagnosed with Celiacs I need to relearn how I eat and dine out. My husband and I were looking for a place that offers gluten free menu items, and, has no cross contamination with gluten foods. I saw The Cabin come up when I did an online search and after discovering that they offer a full gluten free menu we were in the car at 8:15pm to get dinner.

Upon entering we were greeted by Katrina...a warm, personable associate and when I told her that I was recently diagnosed with Celiacs she put my mind at ease immediately. Not only do they have an extensive GF menu, they have a separate fryer and prep areas for all GF dishes being created.

We started with the butternut squash bisque that had GF cinnamon croutons. Yummy! I had the Chicken Supreme...a battered and fried chicken breast topped with Supreme sauce (chicken gravy), sides of mashed red potatoes and fries, and cranberry sauce. It was so wonderful! Drank a GR beer.

Katrina let us know they offer 6 GF desserts, but I was so full I didn’t try one. Seeing they have fried ice cream I will definitely start off with dessert next time. She also let me know if the app “Find Me Gluten Free” which shows every restaurant that offers GF menu items. My whole GF world expanded! Katrina has been GF for ten years so she understands my needs. Turns out I knew her when we both worked in Rhode Island years ago! Small world.

Our server was terrific, music was lovely (old standards and big band), we met the owner...overall a wonderful experience. Thank you very much!
