I went to the Dutch tonight for supper before the theater. The server convinced me to order the special Mahi Mahi. I asked her if it was gluten free and she assured me it was. When it came out I took a bite and it seemed like it had wheat in it. After 20 minutes I was able to flag down the server and ask if it was indeed gluten free. She said the special had been switched and she forgot to tell me. Thank goodness I only had one bite but I am paying the price now. NOT a safe place. Beware .

Items that are listed as gluten free on their menu are prepared in fryers with items containing gluten, however the menu still lists them as gluten free without mentioning the fryer issue.

Minimal menu, and the waitress told me that many items marked gluten-free weren't actually gluten free due to known cross contamination. She did have the chef prepare mine in a different pan, but that is not their standard practice and had I not asked more questions and just trusted the "gluten free" menu, i would have been in trouble.

Service was poor. I ordered a cider and she brought me some kind of citrus flavored beer. Had I not caught it in time and taken a sip, I would have been very ill.

I had dinner (duck tacos and truffle fries) and the waiter made sure he understood the severity of my Gluten allergy. He told the cooks to prep my food only and they put on gloves and cleaned the entire area for me. He checked in periodically to make sure I had no reactions! Their gf dessert was amazing! Highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of eating two meals here, dinner and breakfast. Both of the gluten free options I tried (Salmon for dinner and Chicken sausage breakfast bowl) were delicious and filling! The price is fair for the area and the view of U of A from the indoor or outdoor table is perfect!
