Absolutely amazing food! I ordered the ‘Frenchy French’ and got 3 slices of French toast along with bacon and maple syrup and it was delicious! Would highly recommend. Alison our server also made me feel so confident being coeliac and I felt completely safe, thoroughly enjoying my meal

The wait staff was very knowledgeable. My husband, who is celiac, was thrilled to be able to have gluten-free pancakes and sausage gravy.

Spouse and I were both very pleased with our orders. He had the andouille scramble. I had the grit bowl with shrimp and lobster sprinkled with bacon. No blue cheese moray as I’m df. Food was excellent. Service a bit slow, but once the order was taken the food came out very quickly.

I asked questions about everything. The waitress seemed knowledgeable, but also annoyed. I ordered an omelet with a side of loaded grits. When the food came out, I took the first bite of grits and started feeling nervous. I asked the waitress if there was white gravy on the loaded grits. She said no. A few more bites in and she was waving me down from across the restaurant to tell me she was wrong. I was sick for a month.

The staff answered all my questions regarding what was gluten-free on their menu and even let me know that the gluten-free pancake mix did NOT contain any trace amount of tree nuts. The food was decent, and the fres- squeezed OJ was really good. Very happy that I could find a place that offered gluten-free options for breakfast.

Had the best gluten free toast, you would not even know it was gluten free. They also had gravy that was gluten free. One of the best breakfast restaurants I have been to for gluten free food. It was so good!

This place is great. Most everything can be gluten free. The pancakes were really good Andi normally don't like pancakes. I am highly sensitive celiac and didn't get sick

My wife has celiac disease and is extremely sensitive to gluten. She had the gluten free toast and some scrambled eggs with no issues. Our waitress was very knowledgeable on there gf items. The staff was also very attentive to our dog, gave home a dish of water and a sweat potato wrapped in bacon treat right after we got seated. Nice outdoor space too.

Great food! I am celiac and asked questions about how the food was cooked as usual. Great service and food came quickly. Server was somewhat knowledgeable but checked with the kitchen to make sure things were safe! Ordered The Goodman omelet. Server was Krystal and she was great. Did not get sick.

Great place. When you make your own GF pancakes at the table what can be more safer. My daughter also loved their hash browns.

Great experience! I was able to make my own gluten free pancakes right at the table! Waitress even took a picture of ingredients of the turkey sausage to show me to help make sure it was definitely gluten free

If you’re seriously gluten sensitive, DO NOT bother with this place. They do not care about cross contamination AT ALL. They use the same toasters and skillets for both allergen and allergen-free. My mom has bad celiac and we were incredibly disappointed. The staff didn’t seem concerned when we brought it up either. Simply a terrible place if you have allergies.

I was so excited to eat here because of all the great reviews and was extremely disappointed. Our waitress rolled her eyes when I said I needed to be gluten free. Limited options on menu and she said gf pancakes are made on the same griddle as regular pancakes and not a separate pan, but they clean the griddle in between each use and then said “we do allergies all the time you’re fine.” So I tried them with eggs and hash browns. Food was very average but did not get sick

Waitress could answer all my questions and food was great. Lost a star because BREAD IS ALL TOASTED IN THE SAME PLACE. I asked after it came out and to be safe I removed it from the plate and cut off my omelet it touched. They didn’t offer to reduce the $1 up charge but it’s a dollar no big deal.

Wow! I visited here because of the positive reviews and I was so impressed. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were so friendly. I had eggs, turkey sausage, and hash browns and a gluten free pancake. The pancake tasted so good plain that I couldn’t believe it was gluten free.

The only thing marked as gf on the menu is the pancakes. Everything else on the menu they will work with you on. The grits and hash browns are gf as well. I got the salmon omelette, grits, and a pancake. It was so good! We also got pineapple mimosas. I would definitely come here. My gf pancake came out after the meal because they take longer but it was so worth the wait!

We had a great experience here. Sat outside on a Saturday am and service was relatively fast. No separate menu but they offer GF toast and pancakes. I had a GF pancake and it was awesome, I really didn’t feel like it tasted “gf”. They were very accommodating and even checked with the chef when I had questions. I have celiac and had no reaction.

I had the GF pancakes. We ate inside which I’m glad we did because we had our own hot skillet at our table so I was able to spray and cook my own pancakes. I had strawberries as a topping. Along with that I had a side of scramble eggs and hash browns that they cooked in the back kitchen. I did not get sick. I made it a 4 star because the service wasn’t the best.

They offer GF pancakes cooked in a separate area in the kitchen. My daughter has amazing pancakes, and I had a GF breakfast sandwich that was very good (GF bread could be better but that’s not their fault). Two celiacs and no issues! I’d go again.

My daughter and I are visiting SCAD. She has celiac. She wanted to try as many celiac friendly places as possible. We chose The Funky Brunch Cafe because they offered gluten free pancakes and you cook them at the table. We asked them to wipe the grill after we sat down. They were super helpful and everything tasted awesome! We actually strategized about coming back during our visit. Btw, I had the hanger over dish. It was awesome as well.

Great gluten free pancakes! Loved the food and service.
Staff knowledgeable of GF. I had the upstream omlet with side of GF pancake and they accommodated by making it in a separate pan. If you order the full size GF pancakes you can make them on the griddle at your table which they assured is scrubbed clean after each use. Did not get sick.
Yes
This place is awesome. Great food, friendly staff, and many gluten-free option (even pancakes)
Yes
I was able to get the omelette and grits as they were the only option for a celiac. They use the same toaster for all breads including GF. Maybe if you order GF pancake batter and cook it yourself at the griddle at your table? Idk. Grits weren’t that good and omelette was not great either overall
Very busy place, but good food. GF pancakes with bacon, but I had other options as well. Good vibe.
Yes
So full when I left. Pancakes are awesome.

I went two days in a row and didn’t get sick! I had breakfast sandwiches both days, hash browns one day and a side of pancakes one day. The hash browns were safe as were the pork sausage patties. The staff was really knowledgeable and very friendly.
Yes
Excellent gluten free pancake batter to make at your own griddle table. Had bacon and eggs on the side. Fun experience!
So Rude. One option: gf pancakes.
No
Had breakfast there this morning. GF pancakes, bacon and hash browns. Food was good, but was not impressed with the GF knowledge of staff. I asked if the hash browns were considered GF. She went to ask and came back to say she was told "gluten is wheat, and hash browns are potatoes, so yes they are gluten free". I found this answer to be really disrespectful, but just explained I was more concerned about how they were cooked/prepared. However, it was enough of a red flag for me that I took a Glutenease, just in case. Since I have not been sick, and it was a pretty neat atmosphere, I would go back and try this place again.
Yes
Had a sandwich that was very good - no issues afterwards. I also have soy allergy and no issues with that either. Fun atmosphere and friendly staff.
1st visit- excellent 2nd visit- waiter "forgot" to put it in GF and I was horrendously sick because I was several bites in before realizing. 3rd- french toast was just toast. My mimosa never came. My boyfriend's pancake came out NOT GF. My bacon didn't come until we asked for it. Boyfriend asked for banana and peanut butter on his pancake- it had no peanut butter. 2 out of 3 experiences were bad. We won't be back.
The funky brunch cafe has a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. They have accommodating gluten-free options and the food is delicious! They have reasonable and affordable prices too.
Yes
The pancakes were phenomenal, the servers were super sweet. A really fun experience. You cant make shapes well with gf pancakes but just use your friends normal mix if you want that photo op. Will be coming back!
I was a very horible experience! Bad service, waiters primping in mirror while folding napkins and not washing hands. Very expensive for what you get and food was not good!
GF pancakes were delicious. Ordered eggs and meat to accompany. Family of 5 was $50 and service was great!
Pancakes were very good. Cute decor and not too busy. We'd come back! There doesn't seem to be a lot of breakfast options in Savannah.
Long wait for crappy service. Our server looked high as a kite and was not friendly at all. Only GF options were pancakes, toast and a bowl of fruit. No way would I trust the griddles on the tables that are cleaned with water. Given how busy they were I wasn't trusting the back of the house to take proper precautions so I stuck with a mimosa and fruit.
No
Hands down THE BEST GF pancakes I have ever had! I have Celiac's, so going out is generally a risk. we had one of the griddle tables and I watched them clean it before I used it. Of course, it's not 100% perfect... but I knew it was cleaned between gluten and my GF pancakes... good stuff!
