I’ve been looking forward to trying their new location on Main Street as the Coligny location was either closed when I went by, closed for Covid or closed because they decided to only keep the Main Street location. Because of the previous person’s comments, I decided to ask about GF even though it seemed ridiculous that what was once a full GF bakery was no longer. But sure enough a quarter of the case was GF and the rest was regular. I couldn’t believe it! What a disappointment. Of course the regular items were better looking and more appealing flavors than the GF. We were hoping to get lunch in addition to a treat but there was nothing to indicate that lunch was anything other than quiche and a salad. We went across the street to Munchies. We returned for dessert to take home. While I was waiting in line another customer asked for a menu. It’s a paper menu kept on a back corner! Of course I didn’t know. Apparently anything can be made GF. Not sure on cross contamination. My GF daughter got a vanilla cupcake with blue frosting. I chose the Ted Velvet cupcake. We spent $10 and my MasterCard wasn’t accepted. The cupcakes were ok. My daughter said it almost tasted like pound cake with a hint of vanilla. Mine was average, a little dry and the icing seemed to be a thinner cream cheese. I was feeling sick a few minutes later. My stomach hurt for hours afterwards. Almost felt like a deep ache or soreness. Haven’t ever experienced that in all my reactions over 6 years of being GF. I probably won’t go back to this bakery. Such a shame as I am a full time resident now.
