We ate here on a Friday night before seeing a musical at the Olney Theatre Center. It was packed, and we needed to wait 20 mins for a table. Once seated, the waiter was great with the separate GF menu . My daughter was able to get a kid's hamburger with mashed potatoes instead of fries. She loved her meal. Honestly, we went to the Greene Turtle near our house and had a horrible meal, so we are happy we gave this location a chance. We enjoyed our meal, great service, and we made it to the theatre on time!
Always do a great job with a burger no bun and chips. Also the kid grilled chicken with cucumbers and apples makes my little guy super happy!
Food is delicious. The firehouse chicken on the gluten free menu is amazing. Loved it. Will be going back, for sure.
I went there with my 20 year old daughter specifically for the gluten free option. My daughter has Celiac. The restaurant is inside a casino. There is no outside entrance. We entered a side door to the casino where the restaurant was literally 10 steps away. The man at the door turned us away. We were not allowed to enter the restaurant.
You can definitely swap out the bread for GF. No dedicated GF menu. I'd never had known about this option if it hadn't been for this app. sports bar indeed, very loud and simulating , music, 360 tv's + flat screens at every table rotating ads. waiters nice. despite the environment was happy to have GF burger.
This restaurant is in Terminal D and we were extremely happy to find it before our flight. They have a GF menu and My husband had several options. He had a plate with eggs, sausage, and tater tots. He experienced mild stomach discomfort and it occurred to us that we didn't ask about the fryer. The food was good.
I am usually apprehensive about heading out to a restaurant for a gluten free dinner without ample feedback. We tried The Green Turtle because of its convenient location and were pleasantly surprised. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful to all diners. The waitress assured us that she would make sure our daughter had a safe experience and she followed through. The BEST part is that they had a GF bun for the burger! My daughter enjoyed her meal and the family friendly atmosphere. We will definitely visit here again! I am giving it 5 stars for the service and accommodations, the manager recently told me they have a dedicated dryer for French fries.
I had a burger for lunch here. Their burgers are very good. I was able to have french fries as I arrived at 11 when they open up. The waitress got my order in and my french fries were cooked in fresh oil before they used the oil for other gluten containing items. They went out of their way to help me.
Has a GF menu but does specify that they are not trained nor do they ensure free from cross contamination. That being said, the food my daughter and I had was naturally gluten free and was delicious. Caprese, soup, and chicken w bacon and cheese. Very happy with our choice to eat here.
I went into this dive smelly place the waiter came to the table with menus. I ask for celiac menu and it took 10 mins the waiter said i cant find the menu me and my manager is looking for it WHAT! I dont trust places that cant find menu's. This place is not supportive of our needs. Stay far far away from the Greene Turtle!!
No one here is trained in correct food prep (they didn't even know what "clean prep" was) but when I explained my issues and how sensitive I am, the general manager, Pete, made sure that everything was prepared correctly for me. My meal was delicious.
0 stars!! The hostess was rude and didn't let us sit near a TV (when there was plenty of options during this not busy time of the day) the manager later apologized for that. It took a long time to get the GF menu. It took 1.5 hours to get our food after we ordered (and we ordered items that didn't need to be cooked). Food tasted disgusting and all members who ate there felt ill afterwards (non GF reasons, just bad quality food). Not a good evening!
Menu was average size for a chain restaurant. Server was knowledgable and friendly. Husband and mother-in-law with celiac both ate well with no contamination problems. Good caprese, ribs, and mashed potatos. Service was slow though; had to wait more than a half our to put in drink orders. Things went great after that.
The restaurant tried very hard to accommodate our wheat and soy allergy. They were very concerned but unfortunately the allergy information was out of date (2013) and they had since changed to soy oil rather than canola rendering all info pretty useless. They also did not have a dedicated gluten free menu but did have gluten free options.
This is my first venture into dining "Gluten-free" as I've only recently discovered that I'm allergic to wheat and sensitive to gluten, and I must say, Well Done! Our server, Damian, was on top of the gluten-free menu and suggestions. We even learned the carbonated beverages produced in North America are gluten-free! (yay for Google!)
GF menu, so far so good... Menu lists standard legal warning, so technically not 'celiac friendly' but I'm willing to try once since this is so close to home... Would be great to add this to our regular rotation! Four stars instead of five bec I'm waiting to see still how they did with keeping it GF!
GF menu but why no prices listed? I had blackened tilapia on mixed veggie "slaw" and cubed avocado. The fish was good, the veggie mix barely edible and only because of the fresh tomatoes and corn mixed into the slaw-like concoction, but the avocado was disgusting. It was plentiful but of a strange color without flavor. I love avocado but this was not edible. The floor and seat were dirty. Never going back.
The Fleet Street chicken was good. The crab was just that, crab...nothing special. Being a Marylander and loving crab, as I do, I will probably order it without the crab. It didn't add anything but cost to the dish. The balsamic glaze was very good.
