Review of The Happy Tart

I can't believe I've never reviewed this place before. We living in Arlington and this is our go to place for gluten free bakery items as it close and pretty good. We tend to prefer their savory goods to their sweets but their holiday sweets tend to be better than just their everyday sweets, at least that we have tried. We often order their chicken pot pie or lasagna for dinner and pick up crepes for lunch. We order a pie and their brioche rolls for holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. Today we had their special Valentine's Day picnic basket and though it was quite costly, it was well worth the money spent. Everything in it was exquisite and definitely made our holiday special. We ended up having a picnic on our apartment floor but with candles instead of overhead lights it felt very romantic. It came with a nice basket and towel and some of the items came in glass jars which made it very understandable about the cost. I'll definitely be reusing those items around my house. I particularly loved the roasted red pepper walnut dip and the fig/brandy/vanilla jam. My favorite of the desserts was the s'mores cup but my husband's favorite was the passion fruit pudding cake cup. We also ordered the triple berry mousse heart and the Mayan mousse heart. We both really liked the triple berry mousse heart but the Mayan mousse heart had a bit too much kick in it for us.
