This was a great experience! I'm vegan and have Celiac. I had little hope of finding something to eat in Sudbury. I asked the waiter at The HourGlass about how they prevent cross contamination since they serve both gluten and gluten free products. He said that actually the whole kitchen is gluten free and the "regular" hamburger buns, baguettes, etc. are in a separate room in the basement. My husband is also vegan but not gluten free. He ordered the same thing I did but on a regular bun and the waiter was aware of all the ingredients and could warn him that the regular bun might not be vegan. It was so refreshing to have such an incredible server who understood the various dietary restrictions at our table and knew the menu and kitchen well enough to advise. We'll definitely be back anytime we're in Sudbury!
