VERY fancy, which isn’t super apparent from the outside. Didn’t come underdressed but was still slightly intimidating when you’re not expecting it. Waiter was rude (may have different experience with a different waiter) and didn’t walk through menu but instead briskly directed me to a QR code allergen menu. I said explicitly that I had celiac and “a severe gluten allergy” to make sure they knew it was serious and that I was highly sensitive. I was told it was fine and that the items indicated as GF on the allergen menu would be safe.
However, when it came time to order the waiter asked me if I was ok when cross contact. When I said no, because I have celiac, he said very rudely “well, you have to be ok with cross contact or we can’t serve you” I said ok, and that we would then need to leave. He held up a finger for us to wait and walked away to talk to a manager. The manager came over and explained that it is a a shared kitchen and cross contact was possible. I felt extremely pressured and judged from this interaction, and did not feel safe eating here.
