Get a reservation, we showed up on Saturday and had to do takeaway. Seating is limited. It was amazing fish and chips. My husband also tried it and he said it was the best he has had even though it was gf. They ask if you are ok with cross contamination but they mean gluten in the air because it’s a shared kitchen. They have a dedicated fryer and change gloves etc.

UPDATE: Celiacs really should avoid this place. If they ask if you are okay with cc run! I emailed Mayfair Chippy about our experience March 31st. They told me that on that day the gluten free fryer was contaminated with gluten and offered us a free meal for our family. We are not taking them up on that offer. Celiacs avoid this place!!! I emailed the restaurant over a week before our visit and was told there is a separate prep area and separate oil. We had reservations for dinner and when we got to our table the manager asked, “Are you okay with cross contamination?” We said no and explained our email correspondence with Rita. The manager then said the fryers are close together and gluten can fall in. Like this is a normal thing. Not the standard, “We take the following precautions but inspire of our best efforts cc may occur.” When we said we wanted to leave, the manager would not let us (it was a tiny space we could not get up if she did not move). Don’t bother with this place.

Had a concerning visit at this restaurant. My friend and I ordered the same thing just one gluten free and we got the dishes as normal. Then when picking up the plates the waiter was asking my friend (who can eat gluten) how the gluten free was. Waiter walked away confused hearing I was gluten free and kept staring at the plates. Not sure what happened but thankfully no reaction so I did get the right plate. Still not a good experience.

Staff was extremely helpful. When told that we wanted a gluten free fish and chips they asked if it was intolerance or celiac. Once I told him I had celiacs disease he told me what condiments I wasn’t able to have and made sure that he was clarifying what I could eat and what I couldn’t (because my boyfriend was eating a meal with gluten). Food was extremely tasty and well worth the wait. Did not have any reactions to the food but went home full and happy:) I do recommend that you make a reservation!

Celiac friends, please be careful if you eat here. We dined here this evening and my food was cross contaminated. I ordered the gluten free fish and chips and used my NIMA gluten tester before digging in. The fish tested gluten free but the chips contained gluten.

Very busy spot (a good sign that the food is delicious!). Recommended to get reservations, although we were able to get a table outside as walk-ins. Place was packed when we arrived 15 min after opening.

Fish and chips can be made gluten free. Staff is knowledgeable and explained kitchen protocol for GF orders (separate fryers). GF beer options as well. A little pricey but my husband, who usually goes to the smaller shops, ordered a regular fish and chips and said it was the best he's ever had and worth it.

Very nice staff that tolk Good care of us and were really carfull so we wouldnt eat Abu gluten. They have daura (gluten free beer) and the fish and chips was amazing!

Unfortunately I was told the Halloumi and chips were GF but about two hours later it was quite clear I had been poisoned. There seems to be some inconsistencies as I have seen in the reviews that others have been told only the fish and chips at GF. I do not recommend going here if you have celiac. I am not very sensitive towards gluten but I got a very strong reaction a couple of hours later. It greatly upsets me that they tell you that they are careful with allergies in the kitchen when they are not. I hope nobody else have to experience what I experienced at that restaurant today.

You can get gluten free fish and chips! All chips are fried in a dedicated fryer and staff are knowledgeable about gluten and other allergies (we have nut allergies too). Fantastic meal.

Excellent option for gluten free fish and chips. I looked all over London for somewhere I could get true English fish and chips and they were able to accommodate. They also have apparently figured out the tarter sauce issue I saw on previous posts as mine was clearly different than my family’s version. If you are looking for great fish and chips, look no further. They even give a choice of cod or haddock. Highly recommend.
