Be aware... Normally love this place for gluten free pancake options. Been going for years without a problem. They do serve gluten free options on RED plates for safety. But no system is free from human error. I went on a busy Sunday service and ate the gluten free pancakes which arrived on a RED plate. Beware, regular pancakes are thicker and more dense at this restaurant. I had blind faith and wasn't paying attention as this has been a safe place for me for years. Immediately after finishing meal, I realized what I ate. It wasn't a minor cross contamination issue, I ate 2 pancakes that were clearly not gluten free. The texture was dense, pancakes were way thicker than normal. A reminder to all who suffer with celiac or severe food allergies, be hyper aware of what is being served to you. I wish I had. Needed asthma inhaler that I hadn't used in months right after leaving restaurant. Ended up in bed all day with cramping and GI pain. Don't be afraid to question your server or managers if something doesn't look right.
