Waiter was very knowledgeable of gluten and pointed out items my daughter could have and the food was delicious. Salmon was delicious and oysters were very tasty.

Nothing is marked gluten free but many things are on the menu. They use vegetable chips instead of bread in many of the dishes like guacamole and ceviches. I had oysters, octopus, scallops and guacamole. Everything we had was good. The one negative of my experience was that I told the waiter I could not eat gluten and specifically asked if the dishes I ordered were gluten free, which he said they were. However, the octopus dish was served with toast. The octopus was served in a separate bowl so I don’t think there was cross contamination but it shows he didn’t fully understand avoiding gluten. Overall, I very much enjoyed the food and there are many gluten free options but I didn’t get the feeling the restaurant fully understood avoiding gluten.

Wonderful! Our server knew all about gluten allergies and even substituted mallanga chips for the toast. Definitely pricey for Puerto Rico, but delicious and the service was great.

According to the chef, the only gluten-containing ingredients they have are bread and chips. They do not use any flour for any of their meals. We got fresh crab claws, oysters, and octopus tail. I felt safe eating here and did not get sick. Food was good although expensive for the small amount of food you get.

Not gonna lie, I don't think anyone in this restaurant actually understands what gluten is...BUT the foods are so simple that I felt safer here than some other places in San Juan. It's oysters and simple seafood dishes like ceviche, and the main sources of gluten are bread and chips served as sides, (you can request that dishes be served without). It's definitely not ideal, but since options in San Juan aren't plentiful and I managed to not get sick here, I would cautiously recommend.
