Review of The Pier Fish and Chip Shop

Visited the pier fish and chips shop on Easter Saturday, and as expected it was very busy.

They do gluten free every day which is great, and the order is prepared fresh and cooked completely separately, which is great. Takes around 13 minutes to be cooked. They also have gluten free vinegar under the counter if you ask for it.

I don't know if it's because it's early in the season, or they've changed the menu, but all that was available to us was cod and/or chips. I've read previous reviews where there seemed to be far more of a selection.

I asked about mushy peas, but where they are kept warm is right underneath the tray where they put the cooked fish, and lots of scraps fall down, so I was reassured they knew their stuff regarding cross contamination.

All in all nice food but limited choice. Quite expensive, and a long wait.
