Called a day ahead to get a sense of kitchen protocol and make a reservation. Spoke to the owner/manager and he knew exactly what Celiac was and that the kitchen would be able to accommodate. Upon arrival the next he remembered our conversation immediately, assigned a waiter but put the Celiac order in himself (separate from the rest). It came out delicious (New York strip and veggies) and 100% safe / no symptoms. The rest of us had delicious food as well. Cozy cabin / old school ambiance. Highly recommend!

It's unfortunate that the owners do not educate the cooks or waitresses about food allergies. It took three tries for them to get the salad without corn tortilla strips fried in the same dryer as all other fried items. Sent back first time said they made a fresh salad. Still had tortilla strips in it. I'm thinking they thought they picked them all out. Third time I think they made a new salad. I thought this place was better than the rest. They will no longer be my 1st choice in Big Bear. So many other Gluten friendly places that care what that they respect allergies.
