So, I am one of probably two people in Worcester who isn't a huge fan of the Sole. It is a wildly popular restaurant here in the city, and it is generally packed to the gills (heh). I've always found that my experience here is rushed and crowded, and I've never really gotten a dish that I just love, loved. Prior to my diagnosis, I did really enjoy the chowder (which is made with wheat flour), but beyond that, the Sole was always toward the bottom of my list of places to go. But like I said, I'm rare -- most everyone I know loves the Sole and goes there on special occasions or for business lunches, and certainly it isn't a bad restaurant at all. BUT, for this review, specifically on GF options, I think three stars is fair. For a seafood restaurant, I would think there would be more options, but they do have a separate gf menu and several choices (although not nearly as extensive as the regular menu -- I guess they do a lot of breading of their seafood). I'd put Sole as average for GF options. You won't find special bread, separate fryers, GF soy sauce for the sushi, etc.... All those things that are a nice touch from a regular restaurant. However, the servers are knowledgeable and you'll be able to eat something for an app, entree and dessert no problem. Just be prepared to be shoved out the door as soon as possible so they can use your table for the long line of people waiting to get in :)
