The food was pretty good. I got the Caprese Burger and steamed veggies.
I noticed a few comments here mentioned that their waitress cautioned against the rice. My waitress also said “naturally you can’t have the brown rice; it’s not gluten free.” I’m not sure if she thinks rice isn’t gluten free?? Or if it’s just that *their* rice is prepared with gluten? I don’t know; I didn’t want to press the issue at the time. She seemed extremely confident. Perhaps the next person in can dig for more details about the rice!
Regardless, it was tasty enough, and I didn’t get sick! A nice meal to get me through traveling from Provo to Albuquerque that day.
We arrived in Moab after a long drive from Colorado, hungry and ready for some good food. We ordered two GF sandwiches but when our food arrived the buns looked different. One came with the GF bun, the other did not. Thankfully I asked about it before the kids and I ate anything, but sure enough there was an error on one of our sandwiches. After this was corrected, the sandwiches were delicious. The sautéed veggies were a bit overdone and the fries a little salty (but we don’t normally salt our food).
Ate here twice while on vacation and had no reactions. There was a bit of confusion with the rice, as another reviewer noted. The first time I went, the server said the rice wasn't safe and didn't serve my dish with rice. The next time I went, a different server said that the rice was completely safe. When our food was served (with rice) the server from the other day walked by and was deeply concerned for my safety when she saw rice on my plate! However I did not have any reaction to the rice, so it was all good.
Excellent food and drinks. Gluten-free options are marked on the menu and the staff was knowledgeable about the offerings. Do yourself a favor, get the fish tacos, they were delicious and gave me zero trouble. I also highly recommend the jalapeno margarita and the prickly pear margarita!
GF menu but employees have NO knowledge of Coeliaque disease and even less of contamination… ordered the burger with GF bread but they served the fries with it which are not GF 😡and everything was touching the burger… we asked for a new plate but they only took the fries out!!! We asked for a new burger but not sure what they actually did… my daughter was sick less then 6 hours after …
I got a burger with a gf bun to go. The bun was very tasty but it wasn’t labeled so I had to assume mine was the gf bun based on comparing it to my friends burger. When ordering online, you can select that you have a gluten allergy. The food was just okay. They forgot to include half the sauces we asked for.
Going anywhere out to eat can be challenging when gluten free and dairy free. The Spoke on Center made sure everything was cooked to meet my needs. You can ask for your food to be cooked in a separate pan and they don’t use butter when cooking veggies or chicken. They have many options and you can build your own burger to meet your needs. I would go back in a heartbeat! Delicious and safe!
We ordered a gf burger with coleslaw and a regular burger with fries. Waitress seemed somewhat knowledgeable and upon asking pointed out directly, that the fries aren’t safe as the fryer is also used for other food such as breaded onion rings. The burgers were served without any further comment (or I‘d rather say: smashed on the table). No waitress available to ask any more questions, no more checking up on us etc. Both burgers tasted well, my hubby (celiac) took the risk of eating his hopefully gf burger and didn‘t have any reaction. However he‘s not super sensitive to cross-contamination so we wouldn‘t recommend it it for celiacs with a good conscience.
Asked if the sesame ginger sauce was gluten free, was told that it wasn’t, so I asked for it not to be on my salmon Hawaiian burger with a gluten free bun. Well, came out w h the sauce on the onions and pineapple, waitress took it back to be “re-made” and brought it back about 90 seconds later with the onions scraped off. That was it. The sauce soaked pineapple was still on it. Soooo yeah. Not impressed. Thank god I don’t have an actual serious wheat allergy or celiac, just gluten intolerant. If you are either of those, I wouldn’t eat here. They don’t seem to understand.
Glad for the recommendation, my child has food anxiety due to celiac. The server was very helpful, went to the kitchen several times to read ingredient labels, even came out with a picture of an ice cream lable for me to read (and scan) they have gluten free buns for any hamburger or grilled chicken, not sure how good the gf bun is as I opted to go bunless. For my son we just got a grilled chicken with a baked potato, he ate the whole thing which is a first! And asked if we could come back tomorrow. I'd say that's a win. Would return and recommend to others.
Thoughtv TV his place was awesome the first night I came in. ERIC the bartender told me the fries were fried in a separate fryer. I came the 2and night and when I asked about the fries the 3 employees working said the Absolutely DO NOT have a separate fryer and they are cross contaminated. IM SUPER PISSED TO SAY THE LEAST And WILL FOR SURE BE SICK FROM EATING THEM. I hope he gets fired honestly because they said he has worked there for years and that's total bullshit to either LIE or BE that ignorant. They say the burgers are gluten free but can you trust them????
Have GF menu & helpful staff. Have GF buns on request. No issues as someone with gluten intollerance.
After letting the server know I have celiac she suggested the fish tacos but said the rice is not GF . She left the rice off but when I got my plate there was a sauce on it and so I asked if it was safe to she had to check and came back and said it was not. She had to take it back and they didn’t have any GF sauces or dressings to replace it. The food was less than average and over spicy
Excellent gf bun, had the philly with the yam tater-tots. Excellent service, cool eclectic atmosphere and hip music. Very glad we stopped here on our way leaving Moab.
Not very many options for the GF folks but the burgers and GF bun was fantastic. I ordered coleslaw instead of the fries (shared frier). I think if you are super sensitive to gluten or get really ill, that it’s probably not the place for you. They don’t have separate prep areas for gf.
I debated between 3 and 4 stars, but our server Jon was very knowledgeable so I'm going with 4. However, they brought out the wrong burger and sat a regular bun in front of me -- it was someone else's order but I didn't realize it. The other person eating with me was also GF and her order was correct. I mentioned to the waiter this wasn't what I ordered but I would eat it -- I did not realize it was the wrong bun too. He stopped me before I ate the hamburger and went back in the kitchen and found my burger. I'm very very glad he double checked. The burger tasted awesome, which always makes me nervous because GF food generally sucks. The hamburger itself was seasoned nicely. If I were to go back, I may just order it without the bun and just enjoy it that way and not have to guess. I WISH restaurants would ALL have their kitchens put a stick or something in the food so that everybody in the chain of custody knows that plate is GF.
I had a milkshake and a delicious caprese burger on a gluten free bun. Our waitress was knowledgeable about gluten and immediately told me that they don’t have a dedicated fryer (without me having to ask about it), so I ordered a baked potato for my side. I’d eat here again in a heartbeat.
Came here for dinner had a burger and a baked potato, because there was no dedicated fryer. Baked potato came undercooked, but the gluten free burger was great. Waiter was a little too helpful. Told his story about gluten sensitivity, we are a bit allergic to "gluten-sensitives" that are not celiacs. Anyway, when we got the bill he showed us his note to the kitchen, so if I got sick it was not his fault. This was a pretty strange gesture. I did not get sick, but we did not have relaxed dinner either.
ask about Gluten Free items, no dedicated menu. very helpful servers. mixed frier - french fries not celiac safe. baked potatoe is awesome!! Gluten Free buns are not generic, they are so good it's hard to tell they are gluten free. FYI, the regular buns are yellow potato buns, GF buns are white.
Went here today for lunch on our way out of town. They don't have a separate GF menu but told me they had gluten free buns and could make the fish tacos on corn tortillas. So that is what I ordered. What do you know, my tacos came out on flour tortillas. I sent it back and didn't order anything else as clearly that was a sign I wasn't safe.
