Review of The Steeping Room

What an absolute treat. Before I even mention the savory menu, we need to talk scones. The GF scone (apricot) was perfectly crumbly...with clotted cream and strawberry jam (and a lovely Assam), I was in complete heaven. And the menu! My Celiac kiddo loved her children’s tea service: a sandwich, scone, fruit, and cookies, all GF! I had a delicious pimento sandwich, and my husband enjoyed his chicken club. It does feel a tiny bit corporate...I was nervous that we had accidentally stumbled into a chain restaurant. But it is locally owned and a great spot!
