Update: April 2023 The person working the counter and the cooks would not give a confident answer on if the corn tortillas contained flour. Maybe they are fine, but the lack of confidence made me order something for the kid, and nothing for me. —— Okay so let’s start with the good. These carne asada tacos are life changing. Like, they’re the real deal Southern California tacos that you’ll tell all your friends about when you go home to anywhere else in the world. I lived here in SD for over a decade, in a world where I didn’t know I was allergic to wheat, and these tacos brought me back to the carne asada burritos I miss so much. Also, my teenager asked to eat here two days in a row. Haha. I also do think they cook the corn tortillas in a dedicated place. And they’re homemade.

The bad: there are no substitutions. You want the breakfast burritos with corn tortillas? That’s gonna be a no. This was a huge bummer for me. It doesn’t matter who is working the cash register, you’re not gonna get that breakfast taco (unless the menu changes).

So- good for lunch and dinner. Amazing amazing amazing tacos.
