Several gluten free options, even a gf brownie. Plus vegan. Always had a good experience.

Completely vegan restaurant with mostly knowledgeable staff. They have marked GF on their menu, and have a separate folder with lists of various allergy friendly items, including gluten free. There is also a dedicated GF fryer. All their food is amazing and they offer the Beyond Burger (vegan burger with plant extracted heme proteins), which tastes AMAZING (especially for vegetarians longing for a burger) and it is GF.
I was so excited to try this place out about 6 months ago, with my daughter. Could barely find anything to order to eat! And super pricey for very small portions, along with no guarantees of true gluten free or dairy free meals, made this a one-time shot. Had a teeny tiny bowl of cauliflower soup. I thought it was pretty tasty (I was also starving!), but daughter hated it. Cold atmosphere, unpleasant staff. Felt more like a cafeteria with unhappy employees. No one cared about the patrons trying to order food they thought they could order and avoid their allergies. I think the idea of GF was to get customers, but no understanding nor caring regarding cross contamination. Huge disappointment.
I have nothing but good things to say about Veggie Grill! I was in town for 4 days, staying nearby, and ate here for lunch each day. The food was super delicious and I had no reactions at all. I didn't really take any special precautions with ordering other than ordering things that were already GF as prepared normally (no modifications) - and I let the cashier know about my celiac disease. I don't typically order a (non-alcoholic) drink when eating out, but the strawberry lemonade was pretty addictive. All in all my only request is for Veggie Grill to make its way to Chicago! Native Foods was one of my favorites in Chicago, but alas they are not very GF friendly so I haven't been able to eat there since my diagnosis.
Super-tasty...but I developed a reaction pretty much immediately. Currently going through fatigue and neuropathic symptoms; nothing to do but left to wait for the inevitable physical slow-breakdown now. (Yes, I'd asked for gluten-free options only, and yes, I'd asked to guard agains cross-contamination...in vain.)
Inconsistent food and service. Ingredients missing from salads, disinterested staff. Never again.
Several GF options on the menu. Their Mac-n-cheese is GF if you ask them to hold the breadcrumbs, and totally delicious!
I got up to order and noticed that menu said that all ingredients are not used in a dedicated area so you are at your own risk.....I asked the cashier person if a salad would be a safer option versus a grilled dish...she could not guarantee that my salad would be entirely gluten free with no cross-contamination...I walked away sad and frustrated....having a g-f menu doesn't guarantee they will do best kitchen practices. I opted to go father away to Asian Box where I know I will get a safe meal.
Excellent dishes with fresh and non-GMO ingredients! Sweet potato fries was awesome!
This is always my go-to place! You can't go wrong with the Thai Chickin'! Anything with kale is awesome too! I always find it steamed to perfection. Their sandwiches can go on buns or wraps OR just a bed of kale! Sweet fries are always great since its GF too. Lastly, their new roasted corn, ohmygawddd delicious and also GF! Always a happy camper! I went to this restaurant today with a friend who is vegetarian. We were both super impressed with the selection of foods available to choose from. I have celiac disease and was not only pleased with the taste and quality of the food, but they assured me I wouldn't get sick and they were right. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again!
Have visited twice. Great, friendly people work here. First time I went for dinner I explained my severe intolerance to gluten, and the manager was very patient, understood the Celiac and cross contam thing, and we were given red carpet treatment. Got the Baja Salad with tempeh and it was DELISH. Second time in for dinner, I explained I'm very sensitive to cross contamination, any gluten, and asked if they could make our food separately so we wouldn't get any flour/wheat in our food. "No problem." When I get the "we've got this" attitude, I know I'm in trouble. But, I trusted. And again got the Baja Salad with tempeh. So did my gluten free daughter. Well, much NOT to my surprise, I got a stomach ache about two hours later, and so did my daughter. The low grade kind that doesn't go away until you go to sleep. The nervous "butterflies in your stomach" feeling. I know this was a cross contamination stomach ache, because I did not have an immediate GI reaction. But the low grade achy feeling in my stomach that night made me really regret eating there this time. The salad was good (not great) but the tempeh is delicious. And the GF Mac n Cheese side dish is awesome. But, as I certainly know, it's really not GF if the kitchen isn't going to keep it away from other non-GF food.
