Was here for a rehearsal dinner and they brought separate gluten free dishes out for those of us with restrictions. This was organized by the bride and great that they had the option. Really looking forward to coming back to try the full menu. Taking one star off because I’m unsure of cross contamination safety
Exceptional food and service! Gluten free menu items are clearly marked, and the waiter let us know about many other menu items that could be swapped for gluten free alternatives (such as no breading on the chicken or eggplant parm). Had the best calamari of my life and felt very safe with the thoughtful waitstaff and kitchen. The waiter even informed us about the cooking process, without us prompting, to ensure that our food was prepared in a way safe from cross contamination. I felt great afterward!
This is not a dedicated GF facility but they have a couple of GF options. The waiter didn’t seem knowledgeable about GF and celiac so I had to make sure he understood my requirements. I had salmon and spinach, it was delicious. My colleague has the GF pasta. None of us got sick.
We had the best GF Italian dinner here. All of the staff were helpful, attentive, and made sure there was no cross contamination. There are only a few dishes marked as GF on the menu, so be sure to talk with your server. They can prepare more dishes GF than what is marked as GF on the menu. Food is excellent! Highly recommend!
My daughter is a celiac and ordered sausage and a salad. Very good and they show what is gluten-free and then still checked with the chef to make sure (cottage fries say gluten-free but aren’t celiac safe, fried in shared oil) she ordered those and he told us that. I also eat gluten-free and ordered the Beef Tuscanini with gluten-free pasta and marinara. All the food was very good!!
I called ahead shortly before arriving and the manager I spoke with assured me that they could accommodate Celiac. As soon as we got seated a manager came over and explained what I could have. I ordered pasta with meat sauce and got a salad with the house vinaigrette. The manager personally took my order and worked with the kitchen to make sure it was safe. The GF pasta wasn’t amazing (but I figure good GF pasta is hard to come by in that setting without additional cross contamination risks and for it being corn based pasta they cooked it really well), but the meat sauce was great! My husband got a risotto that was gluten free as well. We would definitely come back!
Good food. They can do gf pasta noodles. The gf chocolate mousse it the best but you do have to ask about gf for desserts. Overall, very good experience!
Extremely good food flavor wise. No gf pasta options, but plenty of choices especially with desert. The waiter was kind of.. Unhelpful? When I asked about whether the asterisk indicates completely gf dishes- or ones that can be prepared that way. I got a little sick after dinner but that could have been due to a family member giving me a spoon for desert that they didn't "use" hence 3/5
The restaurant was extremely good about accommodating the member of our party with Celiac Disease. The waiter was knowledgeable about what items were gluten-free and what adjustments the kitchen could make to prepare other items custom to be gluten-free. Because of this, there was a wide variety of available. items.
I came across this restaurant while research GF options in Chicago. When I made our reservation the woman asked about any food allergies. I loved the place as soon as we arrived. It was so cute and authentic Italian. A chef came to the table to talk to me about my options, which were a lot. The menu also designated GF items. I got minestrone soup and chicken Alfredo. It was a great meal. I also got to try my dad's risotto, which was one of the specials and delicious. I have celiac and am extremely sensitive to cross contamination. While I did take enzymes just in case, I had no adverse reaction to my meal. It was a great experience and we will definitely go back next time we're in Chicago. I'm also interested in trying their other two restaurants that are in the same building.
