Rating 5 stars for the views and drink selection. The food was alright and over priced, but definitely worth it to stop by and see the view!

Ate here twice recently— got the turkey on GF bread and later got a burger on a GF bun. Also had the spring onion soup without bread. Very knowledgeable staff.

Great! The staff was super knowledgeable. They had a GF toaster for the GF bread. I was able to have the classic breakfast- it was super delicious!

No dedicated fryer, the fries are not safe. The crabcakes are no longer GF.
There’s no GF menu but the servers will recite the GF items. The crab cakes were the only things I caught as they were rattling them off. Pretty sure they said they could put the sandwiches on GF bread except for one.
Great dinner at Wayfarer! While the menu wasn’t marked gluten free except for one type of clam chowder, David, our server was super helpful. He checked on a few menu items to ensure they weren’t in the shared fryer and helped modify my salmon dish to include mashed potatoes instead of fried. Extensive cocktail list too.

I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich on gluten free bread. The fries are definitely not gluten free - they may be coated in a batter but they definitely dont have a dedicated fryer. There were some crunchy fried bits mixed in, likely from other fried items. The crabcakes are no longer GF (they have breadcrumbs). The clams are also now made with beer - they were suggested to me but I pointed out the ale in the broth. In fairness, it does seem like the menu recently changed.

The place was delicious, I had salmon, oysters and the crab cakes.
Good food & service. I had the crab cake, eggs Benedict (udis bread slice in place of a English muffin) and it was very good. Staff was knowledgeable.

I have celiacs and have safely eaten here. I am also vegetarian and they made me some lovely side dishes that ended up being a better entree dinner than any place else in Cannon Beach. My Wife loves their cast iron chicken.
I just had the most delicious halibut dinner of my life- wow! This was my second time eating here (going back tomorrow!). For lunch I had a crab sandwich on GF bread. This place makes delicious food, safe for celiac.
Yes
Great experience. Waitress was very knowledgeable about Celiac. Lots of options even though not a gluten free menu or indicators they knew how to changes dishes in order to be gluten free and avoid CC.
Made reservation stating need to be medically gluten free. No gf menu but staff seemed knowledgeable stating that almost everything on menu is gf. Unfortunately, for my halibut, testing with Nima said otherwise. Had entree re-done, waitress was very gracious about it, but took forever to come back out. my co-diners had long finished their meals. Took the replacement to go because I didn’t want to eat alone after everyone had finished. Even though I requested prep in a clean pan with no sauces or other garnish my halibut came back covered with hazelnuts and again tested positive for gluten. My husband will have a nice lunch tomorrow. I’m having cereal for dinner. Such a fun vacation, not.

I had the basil tomato and spinach eggs Benedict and they were amazing!!! They have a separate toaster for the toast which tasted really amazing! I didn't have tummy pains after I ate! I'll update if I ever get sick but it's delicious and they took my gluten free concerns with great care and efficiency😊

Our wait Eric was very knowledgeable and careful with me being a celiac. He was awesome. Was a little disappointed in that there isn’t a ton of food that is gluten free, especially when they say the owner has a child who is celiac. Had crab cakes which havnt had in a restaurant in a long time. Pretty pricey too. My recommendation to this restaurant is definitely keep Eric and never get rid of him and put more gluten free items on the menu.

very informed staff, shout out to Eric R.! I have more allergies than gluten and the front desk assured me they could handle it when i called ahead. then our waiter, Eric, didn't even blink funny like most do when I tell them. food was delicious! the pinto bean cassoulet was delightfully smokey, and the salmon with chanterelle risotto was ok, barely any chanterelles in the risotto, should of been called parm risotto, otherwise quite enjoyable. only desert available to me was ice cream, but that was yummy! a very vanilla vanilla bean, honey lavender with just the right amount of lavender and a very cocoa rich chocolate. we will be back!

Really great place that we have eaten oit for breakfast and lunch. Great crab louie salad. so fresh and tons of crab.
The Wayfarer is always delicious, and I was excited to learn after being diagnosed that I could still eat there! They are very knowledgeable about celiac disease and are able to prepare your meal using special utensils, pans, and areas of the grill. Just make sure when you make your reservation and to let your waiter know that you have celiac disease. I had the house salad, crab cakes, the potato laced Halibut (with a substitute of mashed potatoes because they do not have a dedicated fryer for the fried potato), and the chocolate souffle - all delicious and I did not get a reaction.
