Had a bunless burger (gluten free was an option) and was advised that the fries weren’t safe due to being cooked in oil containing gluten. Had no issues :)

Ordered a bunless burger (to save some money) and fries and informed the waitress of my Celiac Disease. Shortly after ordering the manager came out and said “I see you have a gluten allergy and I’m not sure how severe it is but we have a shared frier.” I was so thankful she was so knowledgeable and caught it. She offered another, safe side. The waitress then came back and apologized for not catching it herself and said she was new. I felt very safe eating there and did not get sick.

Lovely burgers and Mathew the waiter was so so friendly. They have a glutenfree bun which is lovely and most of the toppings are possible for celiacs.

The menu was mark with Gluten-Free options. Per our waitress the fries are not gluten free because they don't have a dedicated fried. There for fries, chips and poutine are NOT gluten free.

But would I go back again?? Probably not unless I just couldn't find anything else to eat. The burger was very bland and tasteless. But the service was very good.

The staff was knowledgeable on what was gluten-free on their menu. However, in the gluten-free section of the menu, they mention a gf beer that is NOT gf.

Gluten free buns. However they claim their fries and chips are gluten free while they fry them in the same fryer as onion rings and other gluten containing items. Unacceptable.

Popped in here for lunch and enjoyed a tasty burger and fries. They have a dedicated fryer for their fries. The bun was excellent - I asked them to double check it was gluten free it was so good. Staff are knowledgeable and very helpful.

They were very nice and assured me that I’d come to the right place for eating safely with no cross-contamination. They have a dedicated fryer and both regular and sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were very good, especially with the truffle aioli. The burger was good too - so many options - and nice to have a gf bun.

Fries are back on the menu!

I just had a wonderful experience at the Works. The sever checked with the kitchen on two separate occasions to ensure everything was gluten free about our meal (the “bacon stix” are indeed GF, and she confirmed the fryer is dedicated to just fries again!!). When I got the bill I saw that she also rung our order in as ALLERGY so the kitchen preps things safely. 👍

Had a fantastic meal with zero effects. Will for sure be returning as I find the quality equal to Harper’s burgers but at Harper’s the fryer is not dedicated to GF fries only.

The food itself was pretty good. They had a dedicated fryer and gotten free gravy so I could have a classic Canadian poutine!! The bun was as flat as a pancake though so not unimpressed with that but many options to choose from which was nice and close to the action. Took a long time to get served after ordering though - 45 or so minutes.

The server, Sarah, was extremely knowledgeable about gluten and their products. They have lots of gluten free options and use separate fryers for certain things.
