Ordered a sushi special labeled Gluten Free. I told the server I had celiac and to be sure to make sure the chef was careful with soy sauce etc. The special came with miso soup which is usually not safe but I was told “no substitutions.” I didn’t eat it, but did eat my sushi. About an hour after I ate my skin started flushing, and next day the full celiac symptoms have kicked in. Clear lack of training and just trying to be on the gluten free fad. NOT celiac safe.

great for celiacs, only problem is that, although they mark which dishes are gf on the menu, they do not mark which proteins are gf. The "tofu" is not gf because they fry it in oil that is also used to fry glutenous things. The "roasted duck" protein is also not gf because it is pre-marinated in glutenous sauce. However, the "vegetable" and "pork" proteins are gf. Many of the staff are knowledgeable about allergens, but I still think they should mark the proteins as gf or not on the menu rather than rely on every single waiter knowing which proteins are safe or not. I've gotten the red curry, pad thai, and monkfish fried rice with no issues. Especially make sure to emphasize your allergy with the monkfish fried rice since that one is gf with modifications rather than gf by default. atmosphere is also nice with options for indoor and outdoor dining. I've also tried some of the sashimi that are marked gf. never had any issues at this restaurant. biggest advice is to avoid choosing a protein that has gluten in it. also make sure not to eat any of the soy suace that they have sitting at the table, but feel free to ask them to bring the special gf soy sauce to your table. The dine-in experience is fancy enough for a date, and there are definitely some filling things you can order that are relatively inexpensive. good portions, healthy food, and imo extremely tasty. one of my favorite restaurants in the area!

Husband and I went here because the menu marked GF items, but just in case I brought my Nima sensor because I always do at new restaurants. Staff were sort of knowledgeable but we ordered the crab fried rice and drunken noodles which both had gf options which we asked for an the nima sensor dinged them for containing gluten so that’s a whole meal I went hungry! Overall food looked and smelled great, but would not recommend for celiacs!

The menu has items labeled as gluten free or able to be modified to be gluten free making ordering easy. And when I ordered a gluten free sushi roll they brought me my own bottle of tamari in the same container as regular soy sauce! It was such a small thing but getting my own soy sauce was really exciting for me

Delicious pad Thai and didn’t get sick! My waiter didn’t seem too knowledgeable about celiac, but he reassured me the pad Thai was gluten free. I had him write “gluten allergy” for the chefs.

Delicious sushi and I didn’t get sick. I mentioned to the host that I have celiac and he immediately pulled out a menu to show me that items were marked gluten free. He confirmed that the chef will change gloves and sanitize the prep area.
Edit: Ate here again without any issues.

Love this place - my go-to takeout. I order the Pad Thai every time and the Nima has confirmed its safe every time.

Menu is clearly marked with gluten free options. I enjoyed my crab fried rice. The portion was huge. I definitely recommend it.

One of my go to takeout spots! The gluten free selection is a little limited but I've never had a reaction here and the pad thai is great, especially the bacon pad thai.

One of my favorite spots for Thai food! Have tried the majority of the GF menu, and it’s all delicious. I’ve never had a reaction. The bacon pad Thai is to die for!

Went with the family. Had edamame, alaskan roll and another roll I can't remember name of. Server did not know what 'celiac' was but I mentioned gluten free and she assured me the options were safe to eat. They also have tamari available upon request.

Delicious fresh roll, sushi and veggie/shrimp fried rice! Service was great and food is definitely quality.

Amazing gluten free menu! Always a safe place to eat without being scared of getting sick.

Looking for a good and safe restaurant while visiting the Boston area, we found this. It ended up being a great place. Our server was incredibly helpful in pointing out what was safe and what wasn't. Our son chose sushi and she helped him get the right roll for him. He ultimately settled on an Alaskan roll, which was pretty big step for him being fairly new to sushi.
The rest of us had outstanding food as well. My sushi roll had some tempura in it and so wasn't safe for him but the server was on top of things when I asked if it was safe since he wanted to try it. We would go back again in a heartbeat.
On top of that

Reasonable variety of rice and noodle dishes. We had two noodle dishes and a beef dish. The noodles were both excellent. Husband thought the beef dish was okay, but was not a fan of the cucumber water. Service was good - we came early around 430. However, we all had a reaction within an hour or so of leaving.

I eat here all the time and am very sensitive! Highly recommend the fried rice dishes and the spring rolls

Absolutely delicious mango friend rice! Plenty of options and the server seemed knowledgeable about gluten free food prep. I can’t wait to return when they have their live music!

TLDR: Not celiac-safe
Maybe we shouldn't have gone at such a busy time? Chose this restaurant based on Find Me Gluten Free reviews. Waiter was nice but didn't seem very knowledgeable about celiac. Tested my food with the Nima, it failed. Brought it back to the kitchen, and they offered to make new food but didn't give me the impression that anything would be different the second time. They took my meal off the bill, but my friends still paid for the meals that I had to sit and watch them eat. My advice: skip this, go to Life Alive instead.

Had dinner here last night and back for lunch today. Lots of choices, knowledgeable staff and gluten free soy sauce. Will visit again next time I am in Cambridge!

ate there twice, with no problems. they know what they are doing.
Great restaurant for pan-Asian food. My daughter loves the GF Pad Thai and the gf menu has lots of options. She has celiac and has never HS a problem. Live music too on some nights. Hardest part about this restaurant is getting a reservation! They do take walk-ins but you'll have to wait a while during peak times. Suggest you call ahead.

I would give 10 stars if I could! My waiter noticed the tamari that I brought, and asked if I was gluten free. He then let me know that the imitation crab in a California roll I ordered have gluten in it, which I never knew before! I've ordered it so many times I never knew that was why I was getting sick. I thanked him profusely and he got a giant tip. I'm so impressed with their wait staff!

Ask for the gluten free menu! They have one. :) The Pad Thai is out of this world!
Yes
Great food but both times I went the staff had to check twice to see what was gluten free. Despite ordering the same thing both times (chicken stirfry)
I order takeout from them and they have clearly marked what is gluten free and everything I've had there has been good!
Yes
Excellent sushi. They don't have a GF menu, but when I mentioned I had a gluten allergy, my waitress asked if I wanted Tamari (GF soy sauce), so they're pretty aware.
