***EDIT April 2023*** Editing down to 1 star because Thyme is still purporting that items fried in a communal fryer are gluten free. They know better, they've been asked to warn people, and they're still being dishonest and knowingly glutening people. Consuming gluten can cause cancer in those of us who have celiac disease and they clearly just do not care. At all.

***EDIT October 2018*** I'm editing my review down to 2 stars, as it's been nearly a year since I spoke with the management about the fried items on their gluten free menu and they still haven't fixed the issue! To quote what I was told: "We do our very best to make sure there is no major cross contamination by using separate utensils, cutting boards, etc., but no, there is no separate fryer"...they aren't doing their very best to prevent cross contamination when they knowingly have cross contaminated fried items on their GF menu. I responded by saying "I highly suggest that you take the fried items off of your gluten free menu, or at the very least, state on the gluten free menu that your fryers are not gluten free; it matters to those of us who have celiac disease"...but they've done nothing :(

I had originally given a 5-star review, but I'm changing it to 3 stars. Thyme's gluten free menu has multiple fried items and I had been told on four visits to the restaurant by four different servers that they had a dedicated gluten free fryer. But on my 5th trip, I was told that the fryer wasn't gluten free and never had been! I contacted Thyme and they confirmed that they've never had a gluten free fryer. They shouldn't have fried items on the gluten free menu unless the fryer is gluten free. They still have other items on the gluten free menu that are not fried and are fantastic, so I'm giving 3 stars. If they update their gluten free menu and remove the fried items, I will increase my star rating.
