I watched them change gloves before they made our food and the sandwich was on gluten free bread but was covered in fried onions despite being ordered without them. Thankfully my son is old enough to know to check his food before he eats. They were apologetic but it could have been really bad. Our other sandwich was fine.
Care was taken to avoid cross contamination, but staff not too knowledgable about ingredients.

Love it! It's so nice to be able to eat grilled cheese and tomato soup again.

Love this place! All of the standard soups are gf (the daily special may or may not be). When I've ordered my meal, they always ask "allergy or preference" to ensure they prepare as carefully as possible. My only complaint: there are no gf desserts (and they are known for the awesome grilled cheese donuts!!!).
They have very good food and sandwiches.

Great sandwich! Gluten free bread was as good as any. Took great care for gluten free- separate cooking surface, new gloves. I was very pleased. had the crunchy garlic chicken sandwich.
The gluten free bread wasn't great, but plenty of options.
Let the person taking your order know that you're GF and they'll take care of you. The founder of Tom + Chee is personally knowledgeable about Celiac.

They are careful with gluten free options. I’ve been eating there for a while now and I have not had any cross contamination. All gluten free items are marked on the menu.

NO GF BREAD. Had 1 soup that was gf. No gf bread, said they’ve been out for a while even though it says gluten free options on the board. Would give 0 stars

When ordering, we were told that they were out of gluten free bread. I asked when they would have more because my 18 year old celiac was looking forward to a good grilled cheese and tomato soup. The guy in charge (their manager maybe, he didn't offer that title, but was aware of their delivery schedule) told me he was absolutely certain that their rye bread was gluten free.
I (too nicely, probably) let him know that wheat, barley, and rye all contain gluten and there is no way his rye bread is gluten free. Had we been new to celiac disease, we might have believed him. I will be emailing their corporate office to let them know more education is necessary. Tread caredully here. I now do not trust their gluten free grill...

Ordered and the kitchen help came out to let us know part of the order contained gluten. Substituted and no issues. Delicious!
