Really great for GF kids. Staff knowledgable and careful. Soup is fantastic!
AMAZING!!! absolutely great. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Comfort food at its best. My son and I both have celiac. They are GF friendly and the GF bread is the best I have had. Can't wait to go back and I am so excited that they are opening one close to me. LOVE!!!!!
Great GF bread and the tomato soups are GF as well. Baskets come out with a sticker the tells servers and the customer the item is GF!!!!!
The bread used for the grilled cheese sandwiches is EXCELLENT! Tons of options and gluten free soup too!!
Just went there for the first time. The gluten free bread was great and they mentioned they'd cook it on a separate grill for me. Very friendly, food tasted great. I'll be back!
I am very sensitive. Both my daughters and I are celiac. I was very impressed. They have a separate preparation area, gluten free bread and the staff is very knowledgeable about which cheeses and toppings are gluten free. Sandwich and creamy tomato soup are amazing.
The soup tastes like canned tomatoes that have been pushed through a blender. The "chicken" on the grilled chicken salad is questionable. It reminds me of canned chicken that's been grilled with seasoning. Salad dressing is watery and runny. I don not recommend.
The cashier was very knowledgeable and accommodating. She knew what Celiac disease was without me having to mention gluten. She assured me that everything was prepared in a dedicated area and oven. She also told me the kinds of cheeses I couldn't have. I had the grilled cheese (cheddar and mozzarella) with creamy tomato basil soup! So delicious and easy on the tummy!
Ordered a gf sandwich. Watched the cook touch regular bread and then reach into the bag of gf bread. He didnt change gloves and he put my sandwich on the regular grill. I stopped the manager and told him what the cook did, he got pissed and started throwing dishes and food. Threw the skillet on to the side cooking area. Slammed cabinet doors and huffed and puffed like I was bothering him. There were 2 other people already seated in the resturant, so it wasn't like they were busy. Calls and emails to corporate remain unanswered.
This place makes me smile:) literally brings you back to childhood. I mean that's when I could eat "white bread"! Now I am gluten-free by circumstance and wish that a Tom+Chee were on all of my road trips. Delicious g-free sandwiches and soups. Try out everything that you can! My husband and I also shared a delicious goat cheese salad. Yeah, I know...salad again?! but, seriously deliciousness all around.
This location will be permanently closing during the week of 1/10/2017 per sign in the window. It is a shame as the gluten free grilled cheese and tomato soup are delicious.
This place is AWESOME. The staff is always so friendly and very knowledgeable about the gluten free foods. They also have menus that show everything that has gluten in it, which includes some of their cheese and toppings. I have eaten here a handful of times and have never had a problem!
I love this place! Whenever you order gluten free bread they have always asked "allergy or preference?"
The last two times I was here I was made to feel uncomfortable with my gluten free request. The first time I was told they were probably to busy to pull someone off the line to make my sandwich. The cashier had to go 'ask' if they could accommodate me. I felt singled-out and embarrassed that now everyone in line knew my allergy and my order. Plus, I was now holding-up the line which also made me uncomfortable. The second time, I was also told by the cashier that they stopped the gluten free offering for the time-being because they were to busy. There was no one else in line this time, but had two people waiting for food. They later told me they would make my sandwich but I had to wait an additional 20 minutes. Both times I wasn't sure if I had to leave with no meal. I am grateful to have a restaurant accommodate my allergy (I have celiac), BUT, if you are advertising that you serve gluten free, please do not make us feel like #^+% when we drive 40 minutes just to have a sandwich like a 'regular' person. It's hard enough....
I watched them change gloves before they made our food and the sandwich was on gluten free bread but was covered in fried onions despite being ordered without them. Thankfully my son is old enough to know to check his food before he eats. They were apologetic but it could have been really bad. Our other sandwich was fine.
