Just called and their fryer IS NOT a dedicated fryer. It is cross-contaminated.

The server was not super knowledgeable, but the woman in the front of the house was and was able to walk me through what They could and could not make gluten free and I did not get sick. They do not have a gluten free fryer- so the chips are out- which is a bummer. Still delicious.

Family run, fantastic, FRESH, flavorful food! And the young (no older than 13) server knew more about GF than most restaurants! Took a little long for food to come out but that's because it's fresh and you should come expecting that or do just take out.

Lots of options, not a dedicated fryer but I took my advice from former patrons and had them fry separately.

Very good food. Very knowledgeable. Not a dedicated fryer, but they made us chips special in a different fryer.

Being new to being GF is tough, it is especially tough when you learn you cant eat the tortilla chips at your regular Mexican place..

I heard about Tornandez from this website and I am glad I did. First off, GF aside, this is a real good restaurant.

We went in and asked some questions about what is GF and they explained they use a separate fryer for the chips and basically could order anything that uses a corn tortilla or masa.

I ended up with huraches for the first time and they were amazing.

Long story short, we have been back since and you must try their green salsa.

I went here with my family on way to visit the shore. Read great reviews so decided on trying it. Cute place and homemade cooking which was nice. However they were not well versed in gluten avoidance. I even spoke to the cook. I ended up with horrible aching stomach pains after dinner here. Literally I felt not right when I was eating the guacamole. But then became full blown. I asked if any seasonings etc were put in. They advised no. I was fine before I came in. Ruined my whole visit to the shore. Be careful. Not so sure they know about cross contamination. I even asked if corn tortillas were completely corn. Never again.

Fresh, real Mexican, not chain-type food. Very, good and no issues after eating. Portions are on the large side, so be prepared for left overs. Great GF place!
