(7/14/2024) I got glutened :( I had high hopes for this place based off the reviews, but I’m sitting at home feeling extremely sick and nauseous.

I had a portion of each of the below (all gluten free and informed server of celiac) - GF bread and the rosemary olive oil at table - Shrimp scampi - Fried calamari - Potato skins - Pepperoni pizza

I started feeling uneasy in my abdomen within minutes of eating the appetizers. I felt too nauseous at that point to continue eating once the pizza came out.

I am highly suspicious of the shared condiments at the table, but I get symptoms quickly after eating contaminated food and it had been some time after the bread and oil.

I took the pizza home and tried it a few hours later (and when I felt like I was feeling a bit better). Unfortunately bad move, I started to feel nauseous immediately after eating 3 small slices.

I can’t recommend the safety of this place for those with celiac based off my experiences.

Taste wise: - Bread was decent, not the best not the worst. - Shrimp scampi was very tasty. - Potato skins were extremely greasy and did not taste good. - The calamari was bad, very rubbery and chewy - The pizza taste was mid and very greasy, Costco gluten free Sabattaso’s pizza still has it beat by a long shot (iykyk)

I didn’t drink, but others at my table were big fans of the chocolate martini.

Indoor setting: - Decent, we had a high table booth/chair set up. - Busy but not loud

Price: Appetizers were extremely overpriced. Not worth it imo. Skip on the pizza, you’ll get much better at home with the frozen ones.

Service: Good, my partner had an entire free (non gluten free) pizza made because some slices of his were dropped in the kitchen, so he got a free pizza + most of the original pizza that did not get dropped. Server was very attentive and made sure our needs were met throughout the entire meal.

Had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The waitress kept pointing out what I could and couldn’t eat at the table, which was nice. The fried chicken was delicious, crispy, and the first I’ve had since my diagnosis! The gluten-free goosey cake was phenomenal, a must try! Will definitely go back when in the area.

Gluten-free menu (also available on their website) with many choices, top quality food and service. GF pasta, pizza, and bread are all excellent. Their GF Signature Pizza is outstanding (best fresh from the oven in the restaurant). It doesn’t get any better for gluten-free dining. I’ve eaten here many times over the last few years and have never had a reaction or been disappointed in any way. Very accommodating for groups and families. Highly recommended.

Very impressed. The GF bruschetta was SO good. I asked where they get their bread, the waitress said the bakery on sells to restaurants. ☹ Will definitely be coming back to try more food off the GF menu.

Extensive options, and I felt very safe eating here. The owner’s children have celiac and other allergies, so they prioritize safety and allergen training. The server was knowledgeable and said that people come from far away just for their gluten free options. The portions are huge, and each meal comes with bread and a salad. Great option if you’re in the area.

They asked if I was coeliac or just gluten sensitive which I always think is a good sign they know what they are talking about and we’re very knowledgeable about the ingredients in their dishes! Such a large gluten free menu. Even the fried chicken can be made gluten free. I talked to the owner. He is very knowledgeable and has a dedicated fryer. I was very impressed! Delicious!!!!!!

Love love love Traverso’s. They have a separate GF menu and it’s huge. Staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. Owners treat you like family and the food is excellent. So many options. I’ve been there many times over the last 10 years and they keep getting better. Get there early as this is a popular neighborhood gem.

We ordered our entire meal from gluten free menu. A Caesar salad was on the gf menu and it came with croutons. My husband and daughter assumed they were gf and are some when I said no we have to ask. Then we asked and sure enough they were gluten. A big exposure and I hope my family doesn’t get sick. They have a big gf menu. Make sure your waitstaff knows your needs as we told ours a lot of times but obviously she didn’t get it.

I have never seen such an extensive gluten free menu it was the best day. I felt totally included as I was the only one gluten free one in my group. I got my own loaf of bread before the meal- I have never had this anywhere before! For my meal I ordered alfredo pasta which was also amazing!!! Then to top it off we ordered the “goosy cake” gluten free and regular, and everyone was loving the gluten free version. Overall amazing meal and will be back again sometime.

This was my first time actually eating in a restaurant since being diagnosed 8 months ago. I was very scared. I asked for the gluten free menu and right away when the waitress got to the table asked if I was gluten free when I notified them I had celiacs. She proceeded to ask if it would be okay if she brought me a gluten free bread roll. My food was FANTASTIC. It was also my anniversary so they brought out a gluten free dessert for us and it was so good. I got home and cried from happiness to feel somewhat normal. I had 0 reaction and felt completely safe.
