Honestly, I was extremely, extremely disappointed by my time at Trilogy. It might be a different story if you’re vegan and Celiac, but, as someone who is just Celiac, it was even more overpriced than usual and tasted pretty awful. I’m not one to complain about service, as I understand that people have their own lives and things that happen, but my first impression of the place was given to me by a very exhausted, irritated server who kept cutting me off when I was listing off my order. But, of course, we all have our days, so I was still willing to give it a shot. It just got worse once I realized that the pancakes and all breakfast food was only served till noon (we came in a little later), so I tried the mac n cheese, based off of the review of someone on this app. …Maybe if you have a different flavor preference, it would’ve been great, but that was some of the worst and most disappointing mac n cheese I’ve had (and I’ve had vegan mac n cheese before). I also got a carrot cake (which was all carrots, no cake) and a side of potatoes (which were pretty good). My sister was happy with her acai bowl, so maybe I just ordered wrong, but I wouldn’t come back again. On another note, this app says they have crepes. Crepes!!! There were no crepes to be found in store. :( We drove 40 minutes for this incredibly mediocre meal, and I would not do so again. Very disappointed.
Disappointed experience- after reading a lot of great reviews. We had several dishes and the Only really great one was the brownie with Coconut ice. All other tastes were disappointing and food was unspectacular/dry/missing spice.
Everything here tastes great; vegans and non-vegans alike love it. More importantly, it’s safe for people with celiac to eat here. Completely soy free and dairy free as well. They do have some items with oats, but they are certified gluten-free so you should be safe if you can tolerate oats.

Delicious smoothies! We also got muffins for the next day - very good!
Gluten-free vegan place featuring healthy and clean meals. The vegan meatballs were a bit too filling for me (I suppose lots of nuts), but food tasted good. Maybe a bit bland in terms of slices, but definitely worth it given that it’s healthy, fresh, and gluten-free.
Yummy GF vegan lunch spot! We had the seared spring rolls, the Green Goddess salad and the Mac and cheese. Loved the spring rolls and the salad! The Mac and cheese was good too but a little too rich so we couldn’t finish it. Felt so good after eating here and love the vibe!
Excellent food in an awesome environment. I loved the rooftop. The crepe on the breakfast burrito was delicious and the flavors and textures were awesome. Definitely going back.
I can not say enough about me experience at Trilogy . The staff, food, and attention to detail with my allergies was fantastic . We are from out of state and we were thrilled to find this gem. I had Mac and cheese vegan and gf but also completely nitrate and msg free which is usually tough for me . The juices were delicious too. Went back for breakfast and had the quinoa platter.. delicious . Kaelyn and Lucy were absolutely wonderful. Beautiful rooftop setting, peaceful.
Excellent dedicated gluten free & vegan food. Great flavors & textures. Even delicious desserts. We went twice on our week long trip. Highly recommend.
Such a cute space with amazing vibe. They have a huge menu full of vegan and gluten free options. I got the Gaia Bowl and it was ~insane~ and my friend got the Seared Spring Rolls - yummmmm.
It was great that everything was certified GF! 4 stars due to the price, but everything was very yummy! The muffins were a bit dry, but the smoothie was great.
Don’t usually eat vegan because I’m allergic to nuts and coconut, but I was able to find some things that work with all those limitations. They do use oat flour for some items. I didn’t ask about whether it’s gluten free or certified gf since oats are generally a no for me, but beware that might be something to ask about.
Everything is great here and can never worry about if it’s GF, because they are completely gluten free AND refined sugar free. Two perfect tacos are my favorite.
We had an afternoon treat and they were amazing. We will be going back.
Tasty food, beautiful atmosphere. Went back a 2nd time on my trip to La Jolla, because it was so good. Everything I ordered was delicious, fresh & healthy. Sauces they use are amazing. Order at counter. Huge menu (all safe!). Have to walk up a long flight of stairs to get there (it’s on a rooftop) but the views are worth it. And it’s a lovely, peaceful atmosphere. There was a yoga class going on right next to the dining area, which sounds like it could be annoying but was actually kinda fun to be in the midst of. There is a little shop there, too, that has beautiful stuff.
Good pita and hummus. The cookies were very grainy, but still tasty.
This place is heaven for celiacs! Definitely expensive but worth it to feel safe at a restaurant.
Great rooftop dining, lots of options for GF and DF. Hard Kombucha available as well.
Everything GF! My daughter got a smoothie and a muffin and said both were delicious. Nice rooftop setting.
I loved it here! 100% gluten free and delicious. As a celiac, I felt fine after eating here. Beautiful rooftop seating as well.
Dedicated GF, organic, and vegan. Amazing buckwheat pancakes topped with nut butter, toasted coconut, and fruit. I promised myself I’d try at least 10 menu items before getting the pancakes again but I failed and reordered them my 5th time back. Everything I’ve tried has been fantastic. Rooftop outdoor seating.
Delicious, fresh, clean. Did I say delicious 😊? There are so many things to choose from. I had the Gaia bowl and my husband had falafel tacos. Everything is gluten free and vegan. Even if you are not vegan you will enjoy this food. To top it off the service is friendly and the view is beautiful.
(I am grain-free so was bummed to find quinoa and oat flour was in some things i wanted, but the staff took care to note All my allergies (including nutritional yeast- often in vegan foods) and so on.) We found a few things and then selected the raw carrot cake! And it was scrumptious. Also the ambience there was a roof top with bistro lights - So cool. A wonderful experience of a venue.
Ate here 5 times in the last 2 days, no reaction and I’m very sensitive! If you’re a really sensitive celiac have no fear they’re entirely gluten free and knowledgeable unlike most trendy places!
Favorites include : rainbow bowl, miso salad, peanut butter cup, and ice cream cookie sandwich
My husband had Celiac and is very sensitive. There is no gluten on the premises and the food was delicious. The people were so friendly and if we lived in San Diego, we would come all the time. Great place!
The food was pretty good but I have celiac and I was sick all night after eating it.
A stellar, dedicated gluten-free joint, whose location is a much a jewel as its menu. Food ranges from vegan "nachos" and newly-minted ravioli (raw, but delicious), to the breakfast and brunch run of crepes, pancakes, and "eggz" benedict. Though meatless and eggless, the chef turns every ingredient to its best to create dishes that aren't free-from so much as full-of flavour -- despite BEING free from gluten, animal products, and sometimes even heat.
The service is excellent. Everything is local-sourced, as well as guaranteed organic, and made to order, and I could eat the house-made nutella crepes all-celiac-day.
If you're in the Southern CA area, San Diego, et al. take a leisurely stop at Trilogy. It's safe. Celiac-safe.
And delightful.
Amazing!!! I love everything here! Gluten free dairy free and soy free!
We had tomato soup, vegan nachos, and the beat salad were excellent, but they were very busy and the service was slow and one of our hot entrees was forgotten and served cold, so I couldn't give 5 stars this time. However, the cheesecake was a great way to end the meal.
Such a relief to order anything on the menu without questioning the staff. Everything I've tried has been amazing.
