We came here for brunch. The gluten free options were limited but clearly marked. Our waitress was very helpful in communicating with the kitchen for clarification (the potato dish I wanted to order was not marked gluten free due to CC potential as opposed to actually containing gluten). She even brought me a side of GF toast when she brought my husband a plate of biscuits so that I could enjoy the blueberry jam and Tupelo honey as well). I would definitely come again if I’m ever in the area.

I ordered gluten free duck at Tupelo Honey in Knoxville and it was ok. We sat by the food staging area and saw that my meal was sitting there for 10 minutes before my wife's meal was completed. They served them together, but mine was cold. The wait staff did not serve us all of our sides and the additional side that I ordered was delivered to our table long after we had finished eating. The manager did take the late side off of our bill though.

I've been glutened every time I eat here. Even After explaining I have celiac and I'm very sensitive, it always happens. I think they cook their gf bread on the same surface as the regular bread....

Only one entree for dinner was GF. Lunch menu has more GF options available. Knowledgeable staff always. You can ask for GF bread instead of biscuits when ordering your drink.

Waiter was knowledgeable and knew how the foods are prepared so he was able to give us good information. There aren’t enough options. Only 2 entrees, 1 salad and a couple of sides. Can’t even get grilled checken because they marinate it all in Soy sauce.

The server was super nice and willing to help, but the GF selections are pretty lame. All the non-celiac people in my party were happy with their food tho...I ended up going elsewhere to get a more well-rounded meal.

I will start by saying I have been here previously and it was wonderful, but last night I went and it was terrible! First the poor waiter was not trained well so had no idea about gluten free options apart from 3 meals that are highlighted on the menu. Eventually the head waitress came over and went over my options. I advised them I’m not a preference person, but I have a wheat allergy and have an epi pen so it’s a real thing. Then the waiter took our order and made sure to note to swap the fried chicken for grilled and to swap gf bread etc. it comes out of the kitchen with fried chicken on gf bread so they finally remade it and a manager brought it out and calmed my nerves that they were 100% certain it was gf. The food was good and I had no reaction but the process getting there was a little disconcerting and my boyfriend was terrified we would end up in the hospital with their lack of properly training the waiter and failure to make it correctly initially. Just be weary. It wasn’t busy, so I’m not sure what the excuse would be for a Saturday evening.

Best restaurant experience ever. Eating out with 3 celiacs (one of them on a medically necessary low carb diet) is difficult. Their menu is deceiving and only lists a few gf items, but don’t let that stop you. We almost left, and we would’ve been disappointed. Our server (Jewels) convinced us to stay, and they would make us food we could eat. And they did! They brought my kids their plates and the manager came over and asked if we could have soy sauce, because the chicken is marinated in soy sauce. We said soy sauce usually has wheat in it. She went and checked and sure enough, it had wheat. However, they remade EVERYTHING and brought my son extra potatoes and gave us some of their gf bread to take home. (Their gf bread is delicious.) they were beyond kind and apologetic. We may rearrange our vacation so we can eat here again before we leave. <3.

Gluten free options and waitress indicated that several items not marked GF could be prepared that way. A first for me - I got GF sourdough toast while the rest of the table got biscuits. So wonderful to get a bread appetizer with everyone else for one. Food was good, but not spectacular. We had a table of 7 and place was packed so the kitchen was a tad slow. Waitress was great though.

Emma, our server, was very kind and helpful but they're not very accommodating for GF. We went Saturday at lunch and they were serving from their brunch menu. The GF items were all egg breakfast dishes. Not what I was hoping for. I asked and was given a lunch menu but there wasn't much more in GF there. I ate their grilled chicken sandwich with avocado and havarti minus the bun with a side of cheese grits. The chicken was moist and tasty but it was a lot of work to get out of the chef it was GF. I had higher hopes of Tupelo Honey. They proclaim loudly they buy local and serve fresh products. I thought a place like that would be better equipped and understanding of GF.

Very delicious, priced high for what you get however you are paying for ambiance too. Grilled okra with a garlic ranch dipping sauce was outstanding and marked (gf) on menu. Had a modified grilled chicken sandwich (no bread) they do have GF bread to sub but opted to go without. Had perfectly ripe tomatoes, avocado and a pesto- yum. The fried Brussels and French fries were in a shared fryer so it that doesn't bother you- then that will work too. The bring biscuits & jam to the table for the gluten folks too

Gogo here! Staff is very helpful. Ask them what their gf options are because there are more items available then makes on the menu. GF bread with honey and jam, and gf sandwiches. Tupelo shrimp grits are, in my opinion, the best option. Hope this was an informative review! "Explore as much as you can in the world, because there is much to be found." _ Gogo

Great place and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The downside is there are really only 2 options for entrees that are gluten free, a chicken and pork option. Both options are great though. They do have some gluten free sides to go along with the two entrees as well, but would be nice if there were more options.

The menu is marked but you are very limited with your breakfast options (2-3 egg options). I have eaten there twice now for breakfast. First experience was fine, but our second experience was really bad. Slow and apathetic service, confusion about gluten issues... I asked for fresh fruit for our daughter and was told they didn't have any fruit! That seemed very bizarre to me! Our entire table ended up feeling sick after eating, and I was the only one with a gluten issue.

The staff was wonderful, a young man answered phone when I called, I said my wife is Celiac and I needed to know there was No chance of cross contamination because she will be Very Sick. He said he felt all is well but got his manager to the phone. The manager was GREAT!! She assured me of their diligence to safety for their customers and when I said I was interested in the shrimp & grits again she assured me that there would be NO cross contamination. When I arrived to pick up my carry out, Beth, the manager met me in the rear lobby. I was very impressed with the young man answering the phone and his willingness to Recheck information; Beth, the guest service manager for her help with my concerns and her care & concern to even come and meet me when I arrived & also, by no means meaning to be last, the Food Was Very Good!! Thank you to Tupelo Honey Cafe for GREAT SERVICE, care & concern as well as GREAT FOOD!

Every time I've gone the server has been so accommodating and so patient checking on things for me. The managers are awesome too. Each time I've told my server I was GF I've had a manger visit my table. My servers always ask (for my friends who can have gluten) if it's okay to bring the biscuits to the table for them! They do have gf bread but dont have any gf sandwiches. I had the side salad and soup which is small. I think everything was mighty pricey for the items listed. They make their own jam which was good but I wont return unless they were to expand the menu.
