UNO Pizzeria & Grill

First time here and I ordered their gluten free pizza and it was actually really good. So good I was questioning if it was actually gluten free. Well, needless to say I soon found out. I’m not super sensitive to a little CC. If I do get CC’d I’ll have some symptoms but not to the extent I had today. I got very very ill not too long after leaving the restaurant. I don’t think it was actually GF

Updating my review from 3 years ago: Ever since they switched to a "gluten sensitive" menu instead of a GF menu, I've lost some faith in the safety of their food. Make sure to ask questions to ensure no CC.

Previous review: I've never had a bad experience at an Uno's! Lots of GF options included in the back of their regular menu and the manager always delivers GF meals. It's nice to know that they take GF orders seriously.

Celiac friendly?

Yes

Sadly my experience wasn’t as good as others. My waitress was happy to ask questions of the kitchen but that was the extent of knowledge. I was told the gf pizza crust was “gluten sensitive” (inaccurate. People are gs, food is not). The pizza had no gluten but it was cooked in the same oven. No dedicated space or pan for GF pizza were mentioned. I ended up getting a burger on an Udi’s bun as it seemed the safest bet. A somewhat stressful dining experience after reading previous reviews and having different expectations.

Manager was awesome, set down with me and went over menu. He even offered to switch tolls out on sandwiches

I walked in expecting to be turned away. To my surprise they said they can accommodate me. The staff was friendly and their gluten free crust was really good. I didn't get sick! Thank you Uno's!

I have been here a handful of time in the last two years (while visiting family) and have had no issues. I order a gluten free pizza and/or a salad. I particularly like the berry salad and veggie pizza. No reactions and I am very sensitive.
