Urban Stack was amazing. Visiting Chattanooga on our honeymoon and was craving a burger. I am gluten and dairy free, and celiac. Matt brought out the recipe book to make sure the potato salad would be safe for me. The menu was huge, there were way more options than I am used to. I had the mamacita burger which has chorizo on top and it was absolutely amazing. Had a gf bun that was soooo soft. My husband had the bacon cheeseburger and loved his meal as well. 5 stars for Urban Stack. Wish we had one at home.
The staff here was great! I ordered my burger on a gluten free bun and the server immediately asked if I had a gluten sensitivity. She let me know that their regular fries are fried in the same oil as their onion rings but she could make the sweet potato fries in a separate fryer so they would be gluten free! Everything was great including the triple berry milkshake and everyone on staff was very friendly and helpful!
Went here specifically witg my 10 year old Because the Internet said that this place had an allergen sensitive menu they did not have my server said I could have all of two things with a dry salad the manager tried to stop me on the way out saying that no they could make me something but I'm not going to pay $50 for a meal that I can't eat anything but a hamburger patty on a dry salad no thanks
Burger was awesome! Manager took order & asked how sensitive I was with cross contamination. I hesitated (because I read other reviews so I didn’t expect that issue) and she said it mattered with the sides. I told her I was doing potato salad & she said I was good; guess CC is only an issue with cooked sides.
Today was my second time stopping at this delicious restaurant passing through Chattanooga. I got the yard bird on a gf bun. Super tasty, haven’t felt sick at all. My waitress made sure the manager and the kitchen were aware of my celiac. Will definitely be back! So far my experience has been Celiac friendly for sure.
We are visiting and ate here the first day ... and everyday since. They have the very best HF hamburger buns I’ve ever eaten. They order them from a bakery in Minnesota. The variety of burgers seems unending. I highly recommend! If you want sweet potato fries, call 20 minutes before you arrive and they will heat up fresh oil for your fries.
food was really good. the place is amazing, the atmosphere and the vibe was soo unique and warm. it's a redone 1897 train baggage building. Soo cool. I enjoyed the food however I did get a reaction, don't think the server understood the difference between being just gluten free and that of celiac. I still enjoyed eating there and my family (not celiac ) loved the food.
This was my favorite restaurant to go to while visiting Chatt pre-celiac, so I was overjoyed to realize they had gluten free options! I had a burger and the Gouda corn. The burger was good but that corn was life changing! So delicious and I can see why so many reviewers recommended it.
Celiac paradise! GM Tyler and waitress (Sam? Hoping I got her name right) went above and beyond to ensure my meal was safe. He explained to me from start to finish how he watched over and separately ha my meal prepared. Even opening new condiments to make sure there was no contamination. I have never felt so assured eating out and I have been celiac for 12 years.
I didn't think I could ever eat a burger and fries together at a restaurant again . (Although they use the same fryer for everything, the GM has his staff put a pot of oil on the stove and make a special plate of fries for celiac customers. ) Their bun is delicious and holds together as well as a gluten bun. I ate here in April and had such an amazing experience that we came to Chattanooga on vacation just so I could eat here again. All three times that I've been here I have been treated with respect instead of the disdain for an unreasonable customer that I have encountered at other places. I will definitely eat here again-- probably tomorrow.
I have eaten here several times with no problems. The gf bun is soft and chewy, I almost didn't think it was gf. The gluten-free menu has lots of options, although I wish the french fries were made in a designated fryer. I did not eat them as they could not guarantee cross-contamination.
We had a great waiter and he took great care in getting my order correct. I explained that I have a severe sensitivity to gluten and he went over the GF free menu with me. He also told me that they had changed their GF buns for a better bun. He was right. The bun was great and I was able to really enjoy the burger. My husband is not GF and he also enjoyed his burger. Glad we stumbled upon this place on our way to Atlanta.
We tried their turkey burger. They offer a gluten free bun for an up-charge which I wouldn't mind paying for had it been edible. It was very hard and had an off taste. Turns out they don't make them they are a generic mass produced bun. We would eat here again but not order the bun.
Fantastic experience. Waiter was very helpful and nice. Good gluten free menu and they have gluten free buns, which were very soft! I had a jive turkey burger; the first bite of meat alone was a bit spicy but I must have hit a pocket of spice because the rest was not as spicy, but very good. I wished I'd seen the shake before ordering tea!
