Review of Via Napoli Restorante e Pizzeria

Ordered the corn fusilli bianchi, one of two gf pasta dishes offered. Staff was knowledgeable and followed standard Disney protocol to ensure me that pasta would be boiled in separate pots. They even brought out their coordinator to speak to me personally, which I was happy with.

I was halfway through my pasta dish when I found a piece of linguine buried deep inside, which was one of the clearly non-gf pastas. I was nauseated and developed a migraine shortly thereafter, confirming my suspicions that I had been glutened.

The response from the wait staff and management was wonderful; they were flabbergasted, refunded my meal, offered water and medical attention, and notified me that the kitchen staff was dumping all of their pasta water and receiving additional allergy training.

Overall, while I’m grateful for the stringent protocols in place at Disney, they can occasionally lead to a sense of false safety, especially in cases like these. I’m sure the staff is still working on ironing out communication issues in its long chain of command, but I’d advise any Celiacs to steer clear from this restaurant in the meantime.
