My husband said his grilled chicken spinach salad with honey mustard was the best salad he has ever had. The tavern salad was also excellent, as were the pizzas. They were thin crust and delicious. The teens liked their entrees.

My wife and I had dinner there last night. I am celiac, my wife is not. I had the shrimp and grits with a Tavern salad. My wife enjoyed the filet mignon with a Caesar salad. Both our meals and the service were excellent. I let the server know that I was celiac and he encouraged me not to worry. I had no problems with the dinner. Village Tavern has a very good wine list with several selections that are very reasonably priced. They sell many by the glass. The main menu had “gf” beside items that could be prepared gluten free. There were many selections. Highly recommended.

Our server was great and knowledgeable about celiac. We told him our daughter has celiac and he told his right away their protocol. Her pizza arrived on a dedicated tray. My husband did ask for bread and he brought us a basket of bread, with 3 plates instead of the 4 at our table. It’s refreshing to see servers educated on what celiac is. My daughter loved the pizza and had no issues afterwards.

Orders the salmon off the gf menu. Got sick immediately after eating. Not celiac safe. Do not plan to go back.
No
Large gluten free menu. We've had the pizza, pasta and the burgers (no gf bun) with good success. Very good food.
Gluten free menu, consistent food and service. I did have a reaction once to the house dressing - they had recently changed oils to soy, so that is my thought. I now order evoo and acv on the side and all is well. GF pizza is frozen, so I've never ordered. I only eat fresh.
GF pizza was really good but I got sick as I am very sensitive.
I'm doing 4 stars only because I believe that the wait staff could be a little more knowledgeable. Other than that, I have never had a problem with cross contamination, so make the 4 stars, 4 1/2 stars. lol My favorite thing to eat there is the New York strip with Garlic mashed Potato's and a spinach salad with poppy seed dressing. :) Very much so worth going to. It is soooo good! They also have a really good pasta! And Gluten Free pizza! :)

We requested the gluten free menu and had the GF BBQ Chicken pizza and then the chicken sandwich with the GF bun. The bun was delicious and arrived still in the package.

I’ve eaten here multiple times with no issue as I’ve gotten to know the staff well. They understand my needs to eat safely. There are a few GF items in the menu. I normally get the shrimp and grits or the GF pizza. The pizza is cooked in a separate tin from the other pizzas and tastes great!

Very little on the menu. Extremely slow service. I would be worried about safety.

Worked well for me. I’m extremely gluten intolerant (Celiac Disease). The bun is the typical Gluten Free bun that crumbles but It’s one of the few restaurants I can eat and not suffer.

Ate here twice. High quality food and service. Menu indicates which items are Gluten-free. Some entrées can be “made GF” by subbing out bread. Servers are courteous and will verify ingredients. I tried the shrimp & grits and a zucchini-noodle dish. Both tasted rich and satisfying. Did not get sick.
