Great food. Allergy tagged our food. Gf buns were not an upcharge!!
Great first experience here. Server was very knowledgeable and helpful. Parmesan Truffle tatertots were amazing as was my chicken sandwich with Swiss and bacon added. Burgers were good. Fries were meh and undercooked. Another review says the BBQ sauce is not gf. It is now but server said always ask because if made in house it does have gluten and they switch back and forth between house made and premade.
I had a wonderful burger on a plate of lettuce with tomato and onions. When I found out that the fries are only fried by themselves with canola oil, I skipped the gluten free bun option and had fries. I must be gluten, dairy and soy free which makes eating out difficult.
We ordered a hot dog and fries off the kids menu and added a gluten free hamburger bun. I asked our server if she could please bring out my child’s food separate away from the gluten food and she came back to tell me that the manager was going to make his food herself. The manager brought out my son’s food separately and even came back to ask how things were. I really appreciated them going out of there way to make his food safely. We will definitely be back!
My family and I were looking for restaurants near us with gluten free options. We walked into a few restaurants and no one really had a clear answer as to what was gluten free and what wasn’t. We just finished eating at Wahlburgers and our server was very educated on what items were safe and not safe. I wasn’t very hungry so I got a Caesar salad with no crutons and truffle fries. They have gluten free buns for sandwiches and burgers. All their fries are prepared in their own fryer so they are 100% gluten free. Would come back!
My wife and son have gluten allergy so we tried here after a successful visit in Boston. Burgers were solid. Fries were tasty. They both appreciate the frier is for fries only to keep it safe.
This was the best restaurant burger I've had in a long time! The burger was extremely juicy and flavorful, and used an Udis brand bun. The bun did end up a little soggy, but was still delicious. They offered french fries, sweet potato fries, and tots, all in a dedicated fryer, and all came in very healthy portions. Our server had allergies in the family and knew exactly what she was talking about. An amazing experience over all!
I have eaten here with my family and friends every time I’m in town and have had no issues! They do have GF buns but I don’t take chances with buns unless it’s back home and I’m familiar with the restaurant. Too risky for me. I always get the lettuce wrap burgers, tots and fries! Their tater tots are awesome!!
Safe burger and fries. Gf bun is the type that falls apart. Asked for burger well done and there was some pink in the middle but very light so I ate it. Server was excellent and knowledgeable. Burger came out with an allergy stick in it so I didn't have to ask if it was gluten free.
The food was very good. I loved my impossible burger. Shared some truffle fries with my husband as well that were very good. Our waitress Malea was very knowledgeable about what sauces were and weren’t gluten free (bbq sauce is not). Dedicated fryer for fries. Awesome experience!
Went here on vacation and was excited as I have eaten at Walburgers at another location. The only seating available was at the bar which was fine until I realized our server had almost no knowledge of what was gluten and dairy free (very unsure), which made me nervous. Took two bites of my burger and knew instantly that the buns had been buttered and toasted. Woke up very sick the next day. Very upsetting.
Decided to try this place, I was a little worried of it as I was getting mix emotions. I ended up just offing a gluten free hamburger. I wasn’t sure about the fries because I don’t know the oil of it so I just got a burger. Overall no reaction, but it was a little nerve racking as when I looked in the kitchen they were buttering the buns on a butter machine and Was nervous they would cross contaminate mine by doing it.
I ordered the impossible burger with no bun and a side salad. Within the hour I was painfully and violently ill. The waiter assured us that they would make my dinner gluten free. I don’t know what went wrong. My celiac son had a double burger with a gf bun and fries and has been fine
We were so disappointed. This is the first time I’m writing a review. When we walked in there were only 3 customers. The waitress walked by twice without an word to us and after waiting 10 or so minutes a group of 7 walked in and she worked on setting up their table. Hostess walked by with water never acknowledged us. Needless to say we left. Was so looking forward to the burgers and fries.
Excellent experience. Cook even caught that we ordered a burger on GF bun but the bbq sauce wasn’t safe and came out to check if it was Celiac or just preference. We had tried to eat next door and they were not celiac friendly as they claim so Wahlburgers saved the day!!
I came here a year ago without any problems. However, I went there last night and found a different experience. First of all, they were busy. We had to sit in the upper floor, which meant we had to go up to the counter and order our own food without waiter/waitress assistance. This made me nervous. So I ordered my burger and sweet potato tots (dedicated fryer). I tested all of the food together with my Nima, and of course found gluten. I had noticed what looked like some carmelized onion stuck to my GF bun, so I surely added that. I showed the Nima result to the manager, and he said it should be GF; if I didn’t want that, I could get a salad or something else, but that was one of their pretty safe bets. I decided to test just the tots again, and they returned no gluten found. I didn’t have another test capsule to test the burger again separately, so we got our money refunded for the burger. Needless to say, I was disappointed. They need to tighten up their attention to detail on their GF process.
No dedicated GF menu, but offer GF bread and buns (my waiter asked me to specify which one I wanted). I’m intolerant, but not Celiac, so typically as long as I don’t actively eat gluten I’m OK, and I’ve eaten at this location a few times with no issue, but unfortunately my luck ran out, and I reacted to something I ate here. :(
Waitress said everything on the menu could be made gluten free and that only barbecue sauce had gluten in it. She also said all the sides were fine except onion rings. I specifically told her that I have a serious gluten allergy and asked about their fryers and preparation. She did not seem concerned at all and seemed unsure if there was a dedicated fryer for the sides. Because of all the confliction, I ordered a grilled cheese on gluten free bread, thinking that wouldn’t be messed up. My order was not announced as gluten free when the waitress brought it out, which unnerved me. I again asked about the fries and she said yeah yeah all our fries are gluten free. I chose not to eat the fries since the waitress seemed to have no idea. Not even 10 minutes after I finished eating, I got sick and have remained sick since then. Obviously, something was not safe. I was rather irritated that the waitress took no concern for my allergies.
We went there for breakfast. I’m gf, df, and egg free making selection more limited. I went w açaí bowl and asked for df. I had waiter confirm again when food came. I ate it but found out later it wasn’t df. That makes me question the integrity and knowledge of staff. It may be a better lunch and dinner option to visit.
