Overall food was tasty and staff very gf knowledgeable. The only problem we had was extremely slow service and mixup on getting started salad. Took an hour to get first food. We think this must be due to shift change. We like to go to restaurants for late lunch or early dinner to avoid crowds. Apparently they are not staffed for mid day. Restaurant was mostly empty and they told us half hour to sit in restaurant or sit in bar area right away. Bartender did not do a good job of keeping our order moving with the kitchen. Also, they are in a hotel, so the bar area people kept walking through the bar from lobby to get outside as a shortcut for some reason. We had time, so wasn't an issue for us, but be aware of your timing.
Once again, they delivered a FANTASTIC experience! There’s a dedicated gluten free menu with plenty of options. The wait staff is knowledgeable and if you inform them of your allergy, they fill out an allergy form so the kitchen staff takes all the necessary precautions to make your meal gluten free. Then a manager delivers the meal after ensuring it was prepared properly. I’ve never felt safer eating at a restaurant!
Ordered takeout and ended up with someone else's gluten filled meal despite me confirming with the cashier. I called back and they connected me with the manager. He was very apologetic and brought the correct meal to me at my nearby hotel. My next experience dining in was much better. Waiter seemed very careful and knowledgable re: GF. Update: another terrible service experience. Again, the manager was apologetic but be very leery that they understand what gf is, particularly when ordering carry out.
Super impressed! A separate gluten free menu, waiters place a red allergen card along with you order & a manager delivers your meal after checking it was prepared gluten free. I had the filet, garlic mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus and...gluten free brownie a la mode. It was all delicious!
I've eaten here three times now and have had a great experience each time. There is a good selection on the GF menu, and they offer Udi's buns for their burgers. I just wish that they would make the fries GF or add more side options.
Weber Grill has a gluten-free menu with many options for entrees - BBQ, burgers, salads, etc. Unfortunately the fries and chips are in the same frier as foods with gluten. Weber Grill has Udi's bread for a BBQ sandwich or burger. The food is delicious!!
I have celeacs so i HAVE to be gluten free. Weber Grill has very knowledgeable staff and great gluten free options. Their team are trained in allergens and they take it very seriously. I ate with confidence and had a burger, WITH A BUN, and loved every bite. 5 stars!
The waitress was very knowledgable and put my order on a red tag. The manager brought me my food and told me that everything should be fine. I double checked with the waitress because she said I couldn't have the sauce and there was one on the side on my plate. Turns out the sauce was a bourbon sauce. Otherwise I was totally fine even though I am super sensitive to cross contamination.
I'm so glad I tried Weber Grill. As others have noted, as soon as I said I had Celiac Disease, the server wrote up a special red ticket for my order. The manager stopped by and was friendly. I sat in the booths next to the prep line, and I got a little nervous as I watched staff use the same tongs to plate cornbread and meat, but I watched them plate my order and they were very careful with it. They used clean utensils and a supervisor watched over the process. I hate having to be so vigilant, but it is what it is, right? I had surf and turf with a baked potato. It was outstanding. I'd definitely go back.
It was a wonderful experience for me! As soon as I walked in I told them I had celiac disease and they made a special allergy red slip to let them know I had celiac. There was a gluten free menu they gave out and they had a lot of options I ordered the ribs and mashed potatoes and they were delicious. I totally recommend this place for gluten free people!
Great experience here! I ordered takeout and as soon as I said gluten allergy, the girl working the takeout window got out a red allergy ticket that she wrote my order on. The ticket then had to be signed off on by the head chef before my food was made, so I felt they handled it very well. And to top it all off, my food was AMAZING. The ribs were some of the best I've ever had.
Good number of gluten free options. I had NO reactions. Ordered the filet and garlic mashed potatoes. Both were excellent. Also ordered the appetizer special, grilled buffalo shrimp with pecan blue cheese slaw. The slaw was unique and DELICIOUS. It is available as a side.
The menu is always changing, and they change their gluten free bun brands every 6mo-1yr. Every time I go its a different experience, but the servers are great and there's nothing better than that fresh grill taste! They are very knowledgeable about how to safely prepare gluten free meals for the very sensitive and I have never had an issue here ever.
My son ordered a kid's GF burger and fruit cup. Unfortunately, our waitress didn't write down the GF part and they brought him a regular burger. We returned it and a manager promptly brought a new burger on a GF bun which was hard and flaky so he didn't even eat it. Might be a good place to eat at a less busy time of day.
There were 4 of us, one person with celiac. I felt the waitress, Melissa, was inexperienced, or careless in taking this seriously. I noticed she answered our questions haphazardly and incorrectly, possibly so that she appeared to ‘know it all’. Needless to say, I became very ill... This place is too busy to pay attention. The food was good but not worth my health.
Served me a hamburger on a regular bun. The server assured me it was an Udi's bun, but it looked and tasted nothing like that. I asked her to double check. She went to the back and said she couldn't find any more gluten free buns or the bag to compare to but the come told her it was gf Udi's. I proceeded to eat it and had a severe reaction. Just be very careful if you order a sandwich here.
Been here a couple timers with no issues. Good food.
We called ahead and were there on Mother’s Day celebrating two graduations. At 6:30 at night. The general manager, manager and waiter were all fantastic. Our daughter asked about getting fries, and they checked on cross contamination and suggested she avoid it. We were thrilled to enjoy a meal with out stress, because the staff took it on for us. Thank you Weber!
We enjoyed this restaurant very much! Our server was very knowledgeable about GF, even bringing up cross contact and how they prevent it before I said it. He double-checked our GF order with the chef and reported back. Prices seemed a little high but worth it for the level of attention we received. We will definitely go back!
They have Udis buns for burgers and sandwiches. Lots of sides to choose from.
My go to business meal place in Schaumburg- they always have a manager talk to you and do not take a cavalier attitude. My food is brought separately. Can’t beat the meat but their entree salads also excellent.
This is one of my family’s go-to places. The food is so delicious, even the coleslaw, and I have never had a reaction. My favorites are the chopped salad, baby back ribs, burger with Udi’s bun and the garlic mashed potatoes. I have found the wait staff knowledgeable, friendly and professional.
Service was really bad. The manager was clearly annoyed that we were there from the time we walked in. Had to be seated in two different booths because of the wait, but after seeing a large table walk out, they said they were already prepping the two booths, so we couldn't have that table. More importantly, my ribs came with bread on it after specifying a gluten allergy. I notified the apathetic waiter and he took it back to the kitchen. It came back speciciously fast, so I asked if it was the same ribs. The waiter quickly answered no. I inspected the ribs and it clearly had bread crumbs covering the ribs. The waiter came back and then said, they actually were the same ribs and they would make more. I finally got to eat while my table was nearly finished. The second star is only for the fact that I didn't end up sick and the food tasted good. No real apology was offered and meal was full priced. I would avoid this place based off the service alone but it is specifically not celiac friendly.
Update 2/15/17 - GM called and spoke with me shortly after this review and discussed some of the issues. I was satisfied w the answers as they were some one offs. Original Review - i have eaten here before because of what i thought was a good process. I am an asymptotic celiac so i cant always id cross contamination. I just ordered takeout so i was able to watch the cook prepare my GF burger in the open kitchen. The cook used the same grill that just had regular rolls on. Cook than sliced GF roll on same prep area w/ same knife that other bread was on. I am Very disappointed. I spoke w the sous chef and was told GF protein burns off and that there is no dedicated prep area. The fact that the manager brings out the meal means nothing if in the kitchen there are no precautions. Shouldn't offer. GF menu if you aren't going to make minimal precautions.
Though they have a great gf menu, implementation falls through. Two nights in a row, we ordered the gf burger and stated allergy for clarity. Both times, burger came with cross contact fries (not gf) on plate and touching burger. Even after I was specific. Problem resolution was lengthy and no one took accountability
We took my husband here for Father's Day and had a great experience. I ordered gf salmon and it was delicious. The wait staff was knowledgeable and pleasant. Since I have Celiac, I have a Nima sensor and all my food tested at less than 5 ppm gluten. I will be back...my kids even liked it here!
I was very happy with the gluten free options at Weber Grill. I sat at the bar, and the bar tender was very accommodating, and better yet, they had a gluten free beer available. Good food, good service.
Phenomenal! Told manager of celiac needs and he was very receptive. The chef came to the table prior to ordering to answer any questions. The server was awesome and they have a system of using a red slip of paper on all allergy/celiac concerns. On top of it all the food was great!
This is one of the best gluten-free places I've found. Everyone was very understanding of gluten free. I had ribs, beef brisket, pulled pork, beans, and whipped sweet potatoes. Each item was excellent! The server explained they are a scratch kitchen and chefs know all ingredients in their items!
They were very knowledgable about celiac. An amazing process. For meat eaters, this is a heavenly place. The menu link provided here is NOT what is available here. There is no pasta or pizza available. As a vegetarian, I had one salad available to me. That was quite the shock to walk in and only have one option (as usual in GF).
Amazing food. Nice gf menu, lots of options. Did not feel limited in choices at all. Manager brought out my meal with an allergen slip in hand. BBQ ribs and pulled pork were out of this world along with garlic mashed potatoes and bourbon baked beans. Get the gf brownie dessert as well, you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!
This place took such good care of me. I was uncertain about getting a bourbon-glazed salmon. The server had the chef talk to me about it being triple-distilled certified GF bourbon. All allergy orders are flagged in the kitchen and must be signed off and delivered to the table by a manager. I was impressed by how conscientious they were. My non-GF friends were all eating complementary pretzel rolls, and my waiter spontaneously brought me a toasted Udi's bun (heart in the right place). My salad (subbed in warm grilled salmon) was delicious. I was over the moon and wish there was a Weber's in Austin.
Great food, great atmosphere. LOVED being given a gluten free menu instead of a notebook page with a few options. I didn't get the personal delivery from the manager, but I don't care. It was wonderful food, great dining. I will go again!
Outstanding restaurant! We had a last minute team party here for 32 people. They were extremely safe with the GF people - manager delivers the GF food. Their menu is extensive and the food is delicious! Their service was top notch!
First of all the food is not that great for the price you are paying. Ordered off the gluten free menu, had a reaction within 2 hours of eating. Was sick for days. Will never go back to this restaurant again.
The staff did an excellent job of making me aware of items that could be cross contaminated. They also asked me about other food allergies, and made note of them for the chef. All in all, it was an excellent experience, and "The Farm" burger was delicious!
This place is great! Fantastic GF menu, they even have Udi's GF hamburger buns! The staff was very knowledgeable about GF choices. Only reason it didnt get 5 stars is because some of the steak items do not come in a GF option due to the teriyaki in the marinade.
They have a specific GF menu with a great selection of salads, BBQ items, sides, burgers, and appetizers. The waiter was well trained and the manager brought my plate out specifically stating it was a GF entree! It's a great place to go with family/friends because the stress of finding GF items is removed. I'll be back for sure!!
Good option. Love the somewhat recent addition of a GF bun! Missed some of their old options though on our last visit. They used to have BBQ items available for GF diners but apparently changed the sauce. Some staff seem more well trained in allergies than others. I've had mostly excellent experiences here but did have one near disaster. We pointed out the issue to our waitress and she argued with us instead of taking precautions until we proved that we were right -- the kitchen had included an ingredient that definitely contained wheat. Anyway, that was one bad visit after many, many excellent visits. Just keep your eyes open, ask questions, and you should be able to enjoy a fairly solid GF menu and experience.
