The staff are extremely accommodating even at the drive thru. Just tell them your order is gluten free, so no bun. They will change their gloves if you request. I don’t think the fryer is dedicated, so I avoid the fries. I thought the breakfast home fries were baked so ordered them. Apparently not. They are battered and deep fried,so I gave them to my Husband.
I don't normally review fast food restaurants, however today I will make an exception. This location went out odd their way to make sure my order was prepped safely. From asking at the register if I had an allergy, to washing hands and switching gloves, to not salting fries and marking my bag "Allergy". I was very impressed with the precautions they took.
The fries at this Wendy’s location used to be safe for me, but I have eaten here twice recently and gotten sick from the fries both times. The fryers or oil are most likely shared with items containing gluten now. They have some gluten free options available, but there are not many options. It is a fast food place so there is a high risk of cross contamination; if you want to be safe, I would not recommend taking the risk.
