Safe chicken and waffles! Need I say more?! Actually yes...edited to say that we got a frozen cinnamon roll and blueberry muffin to go for the next morning. The cinnamon roll was good but the muffin was pretty blah. Everything was safe though which is the most important part!
Our weekday menu (Tuesday to Friday) now offers delicious egg sandwiches, soup, salads. Brunch as usual on Saturday and Sunday.
Very yummy! Great service and extremely accommodating for other sensitivities and allergies. They had dairy free hollandaise sauce and subbed a bagel in place of English muffin (which contain flax flour). Even with the substitutions, the food was delicious. My husband’s chicken and waffles was some of the best he has ever had. Great balance with the level of spice and the sweet syrup.
I was visiting a friend from out of town, I saw this place on the app. This place in wonderful! The chef has Celiacs and really gets it. It being 100% gluten is of course a bonus, but the food is REALLY delicious. I travel for a living and I can say this is one of the best gluten free places I’ve been to! And I love their table signs that ask people to be kind and keep gluten products out of the restaurant to ensure everything stays 100% gluten free.
Basically a utopia for anyone with gluten issues. The food was delicious and it felt so relaxing to not have to question anything we ordered or anything on the menu. Coffee was good also and we look forward to going back to try more things in the menu. I will go back there regularly.
They now do HAPPY HOUR This place is very close to my house, and it's a great place to pick up muffins, cookies, cupcakes/mini cakes, and other breakfast options. The menu is amazing and all gluten free and delicious, definitely stop in some time! It’s my favorite restaurant and I’ve never had anything I didn’t like
This is my very favorite restaurant in Chicago, and maybe the entire world. I have never had any issues, as the entire place is gluten free with no outside food allowed. I’ve never had a bad meal here either. Seriously, if you need gluten free, this is the place.
This is my new favorite place! Even the owner has celiac so you know you are going to be safe eating here. The food is fabulous and you can do dairy free as well. And I loved my chai latte. I will definitely be coming back. No reaction to anything and I am super sensitive.
The food is alright, granted I can't eat much there. They premake the pancake batter with (I thin either coconut or almond milk... Can't remember) and I can't have that. Also they use a soy spray on just about everything which also eliminates most of the menu. Disappointing. But if I got a salad or other naturally gf options I'm sure it'd be fine. I was just hoping for specialty items.
100% gluten free restaurant- there are even signs in the door reminding you not to bring in gluten so they can keep the whole building clean and safe. The food was wonderful. My non celiac teenager even said the English muffin in his eggs Benedict was better than most of the “regular” (non GF) ones he has at other restaurants. They have a dedicated bakery at another location where you can buy products to take home.
I had some items I absolutely couldn’t find elsewhere at this location. I had a beautiful lox eggs Benedict with asparagus. It was so amazing. Celiac friendly. No gluten in sight. I had a cucumber seltzer water that was so refreshing too. ❤️
So many wonderful options. I had the eggs Benedict, cinnamon roll and popover. Everything was safe but the bread itself was touch and difficult to chew. The cinnamon roll was better than most gf I have had, but not soft and fluffy like it needed to be. The English muffin and popover were tough as well. Maybe overturned dough or lack of polymer replacement for the gluten.
Literally was able to have all of the breakfasts that I haven’t been able to eat in four years since discovering I couldn’t eat gluten or dairy and thought I would never have again! I have three different plates in front of me every time. Chocolate chip waffles, short rib and bagel with lox are my all time favorites, though everything I’ve tried there is AMAZING.
Everything here is 100% gluten free and it’s delicious. I got the chocolate chip pancakes and they were the best gluten free pancakes I’ve ever had. If I had ordered them at a restaurant that wasn’t a dedicated gluten free facility, I would’ve been nervous about eating them because I would’ve been sure that they were serving me food that had gluten in it. They were that good. My mom got a panini and she said the bread didn’t even taste gluten free. It was a great experience.
I love this place! I don’t live around here, but my family and I make a point to take the hike just for this wonderful restaurant. As a celiac, it’s amazing to be in an environment where you 100% know that you’re safe. The food is really good- lots of options outside of the baked goods & we love the decor in the place. Might wanna check the hours before you go though- sometimes we have to wait because we get there too early or it’s closed. But I highly recommend this to anyone who’s anywhere near Chicago!
