Review of Wild Tomato Wood-Fired Pizza and Grille Fish Creek

Went against my "no pizza place" rule because of positive reviews. We sat inside, most of the seating is outside. The waitress had a dumbfounded look when asked about gluten. A moment after she gave my celiac child a "dough" ball to play with... Made from flour. Then we saw a cook restocking salad greens with flour all over his hands and arms. Decided that this would be one of those days my daughter and I just eat later and let the others enjoy. The wood fired grill is right by the entrance and tossing the dough sent a cloud of flour into the air by the tables... And out the door we went as fast as possible. This place is definitely not celiac safe although if you get a knowledgeable server and sat outside you wouldn't know otherwise. We were there long enough to have part of a soda and left promptly when a cloud of flour went into the air. That was enough, I'm now spending the 4th of July sick. Lesson learned, go with your gut instinct even if a place has good reviews... And pizza places are generally not safe for this very reason.
