The waitress (Beth) knew what Coeliac was and went out of her way to ask the four kitchens within the restaurant what they could do that is coeliac safe. She highly recommended not having any sushi rice (possibly because of the surface it is prepared on having cross contamination?). After asking them all she confirmed that the fries are fine because nothing with gluten is cooked in their fryer. She said they often use cornflour for their batter instead of 'cake flour'. She also said that they would wash the separate frying surface that they would prepare my meal on.
I ate the Edamame (salted soybeans) as a starter and as a main the Langoustines (like a large prawn or small lobster), with fries and sweet potato. I am not sure if this main is on the menu or if they put a few things together specially for me. I had 5 Langoustines but could have done with just 3 or 4 because it was all quite filling.
I don't think there were any other options for coeliacs because she did not mention any others except just fries and sweet potato or salad. Most of the dishes here are sushi type dishes.
I felt safe eating here and did not get any symptoms afterwards.
Just a note also that you have to stand in line to wait to have dinner here. We were a group of 9 people so had to wait for an hour. A group of 2 would only have to wait maybe 10-15 minutes.
